Hamilton Beach Professional 5-Speed Electric Hand Mixer with Snap-On Storage Case, QuickBurst, Stainless Steel Twisted Wire Beaters and Whisk, Mint (62658)

I've had this mixer since before Christmas when my last one broke. Every time I use it I want to write a review because it's so good. Just holding it, it feels sturdy. I like the blades because they're thin and easier to clean. I also like the lever under the handle that ejects the blades but doesn't make them fly through the air as one mixer I had did. The cord where it enters the mixer turns in different directions so when you have the mixer on the base it sits well. What I like the best is that it has an actual very slow setting. When I start out my ingredients don't fly all over the counter because the setting is slow at the start. Because it's fairly powerful that slow setting works, whereas hand mixers I've had before needed to have a faster setting just to get the power. I noticed as another commenter talked about the high setting being slower. I asked AI about that and even the high setting does start out slow because it's made that way and then after a short time the speed picks up. It was also suggested that it was better for the mixer motor to start out slow and then go into higher speeds. I've used it on so many things including cookies that are thicker, Royal frosting that can get thick, and it works well without stress on the motor. It would be nice to have a countertop mixer but I don't have the room for that. I feel that this mixer is good as it gets. It's just a little more expensive but it's well worth it and if it's broke down I would get another one like this

This professional hand mixer is VERY QUIET! Can do some mixing in my apartment without making my neighbors upset. It’s SLOW START IS TRUE SLOW START with good torque and anti-break slip feature - won’t break if beaters stopped on low speed (has good mixing power on low setting, for cookie dough - but would not use for bread dough). The heat sink in the front dissipates the heat, the beaters are SMOOTH and will not scrape metal bowls or pots and pans and allows you to clean them quickly. The storage feature is great, for all the attachments. The size is medium, durable. Portable, easy to use and the ‘extra power’ feature gives only a little extra power when blending on high speed. I’ve made thick marshmallows that need a long blending time of like 15 minutes and only then did it start to get pretty warm (heat sink) when the gelatin started to thicken dramatically. Can be a great substitute for a kitchen aid stand mixer, but only for the medium to light duty recipes - bread mixing should be done by hand or use a kitchen aid stand mixer or better yet - get an automatic bread machine from a thrift store.

I really love this mixer. It has enough power to do any mixing chore whether it's potatoes, cakes or any other job, it works great. It has a variety of speeds and is really quiet when using. It fits in the hand very nicely and is easy to use. The beaters are easy to insert and remove. I love the storage case and how it snaps on. It makes is really easy to store and is a great buy for the money.

To make the final decision, I ended up ordering both to test them side-by-side. ​There is a lot to love about the Hamilton Beach Professional. It features a genuinely soft and slow start, which gradually builds up speed. The motor has a very smooth, non-grating sound. ​However, it ultimately fell short for my specific needs. While I am not a professional baker, I felt it lacked sufficient power. The real test was whipping eggs with sugar: when I switched to the Cuisinart, it zipped through the task and whipped everything perfectly in just two minutes, whereas the Hamilton Beach struggled to get the same results. ​Additionally, I noticed a couple of minor drawbacks: ​The odor: Just like some other reviews mentioned, there was a slight, noticeable plastic/motor smell during use. ​The logo design: The "Hamilton Beach" lettering on the body is raised/embossed. I'm concerned that food splatters will inevitably get trapped in the tight spaces around the letters, making it a bit tedious to clean. ​Overall, it is a very well-made blender with great ergonomics, but if you need something with serious whipping power, it might not quite hit the mark

Had this for about a year now and it is the best! I love that it has the slower speeds so when mixing something more liquid-y, it doesn't fling it around my kitchen. Also like that the noise level isn't terrible which I've experienced in both a higher-end brand and a lower-end brand than this one. It is all around a great mixer and it's great!

Wow! Why don’t I trade in the Kitchen Aid for this earlier? Absolutely amazing! Love this better and it was less expensive than the leasing brand. It comes with its own storage, it is super quiet in comparison to my old Kitchen Aid. I love this! Hamilton Beach hit the mark with this mixer. What a great upgrade!

I was specifically looking for a slow start mixer because my old one began on high and went up from there. I've used this one now for a homemade carrot cake and for cream cheese icing. It has a slow start for sure and even the next speed is fairly slow. I have a stand mixer, so I am okay that it doesn't get up to super fast and strong but definitely will whip eggs and whipped cream. This mixer is NOT for bread doughs and the like. It is easy to handle, sits really well next to the bowl while scrapping down the batter. I LOVE the snap on plastic holder for the beaters, whisk and cord. I am 100% happy with it. BUT I'm sure it will not handle heavy duty batters. It seemed a little pricey, but it is really difficult to find a true slow start. In fact I returned one just before I ordered this one that was not a slow start but said it was.

This mixer suprised me!! It works very well and the storage compartment is so handy for someone like me living in a small space. It mixes very well, isn't noisy, and is overall very sturdy and reliable!!

Excelente produto, fácil manuseio, leve porém muito robusta. E o fato de a velocidade número 1 ser bem lenta é um enorme diferencial porque não espalha nem líquidos e nem sólidos. Altamente recomendável. Vale cada centavo. Muito satisfeito.

Una buena batidora, de construcción sólida. A simple vista los materiales se ven de buena calidad. Necesito batidoras con buen desempeño ya que horneo muchos pasteles y de varias que he probado esta se está perfilando como la más durable, veamos que dice el tiempo.
