Pleasantly surprised after reading the bad reviews!!
This stuff is actually fine! Yes, it tastes of nothing and the texture ain't anything like rice but it's 10000 times better than the 'keto slim' range from Holland and Barrett, the texture of that stuff is god awful.Bulks rice is really nice as a snack too and surprisingly filling. It definitely needs flavour adding to it, but a little garlic, ginger and soy or even just some hoisin sauce heated up in a pan along with it, you certainly can't complain for how little calories this stuff has! Will be buying again 🙂

No taste
I was on the fence about buying this, since the reviews weren't great. Just tried one pack in a soup and I have to say I'm impressed. For thise that tried konjak products in the past, it always had an unpleasant fidhy flavor. Not this. The rice is totally tasteless, so it gets the flavour of the sauce or soup you are adding it to. It's cheap, filling and it has almost no callories, so I will be buying more.

Tastes nothing like rice but ok
Instructions make no sense really. In the end I drained the moisture out of the bag and put into a saucepan for 5 minutes. No need to add additional water because the moisture within is enough to heat the rice up, I then cooked chicken breast in air fried and then chucked it all into the saucepan with some franks hot sauce, left to simmer for another 5 mins. Didn’t taste too bad, hot sauce makes a difference but the texture is nothing line rice, add some salt and sauce with chicken and it’s ok though, the portions are 1 serving and definately not two. So not cheap

I've eaten better Konjac rice
Not as nice as other Konjac rices I've eaten previously, so probably wouldn't buy again even though the price was good. They cook very quickly, I just add boiling water to a bowl of the rice, leave for a minute then strain. Can't say they smelled like some other brands do, and there's no taste to them - they're just as a filler, with no calories

Perfectly fine fake rice
Tastes fine as fried rice with a bit of egg mixed in. Does the job. Good price.

As good as people say
My first time trying this type of rice as I'm trying to lose a bit of weight and I have to say I'm surprised.I've read a bit about these types of products recently and there's a lot of different opinions. Here's mine:// Q: Do they smell fishy?A: Perhaps other brands, but this one had absolutely no smell or taste straight out of the bag even before I rinsed them.// Q: What do they taste like?A: Absolutely nothing. The idea is to cook them with enough ingredients (or a low calorie sauce) and let them absorb the taste.// Q: What is the texture like?A: Admitedly not really close to rice. Its like fairly soft jelly beans. (I boiled for 5 minutes and then fried for 5 more).// Q: Value for money?A: Depends how you look at it. £2.50 per double portion (with subscribe&Save discount) is a whole lot more than a bag of rice but if you are interested in cutting those extra few calories, then 1.25 for the -carb part of a meal is not that bad.// Q: How do you cook them?A: The packaging says to put them in hot water for a minute. I can't imagine that'll be very appetising though. I boiled for 5 mins. Meanwhile, heat a pan with small bit of oil and put in 2 minced cloves of garlic, green beans, small brocolli pieces. Fried for a few minutes to start the cooking on the veggies. Then I added some king prawns, half a lemon juice and 1tbsp of low salt soy sauce. cook that until the prawns are cooked and throw in the rice. Then I threw in 1 egg and mixed to cover everything, fried rice style. Salt+pepper to taste and serve. Won't like, it was quite good for a 15min low carb meal.// Q: Should you replace your normal carbs with these types of products?A: No. Because they contain no carbs, you'll find yourself really struggling on energy if you completely replace your carb intake by this types of rice/noodles. I will likely replace carbs 1-2 times per week maximum and hopefully shed some weight slowly and in a healthy way.Best I can say is give it a go. You aren't eating rice, but you can make it taste as good as any other rice depending on how you cook it (minus the texture).
