Whole San Marzano Tomatoes DOP In Puree by Rega - 5 LB 10 OZ (90 ounce)

These are the best tomatoes for pizza sauce! They are a little pricey but they are the best in my opinion. I researched a lot before buying these tomatoes and found they are everything they advertised to be! I am on my second can now, I made 24 pizzas from the first can(that’s about a buck per pizza) so they do go a long way. I use a lot of sauce because it is so darn good! I just sauté clove garlic in a little olive or avacado oil and use a little sea salt to taste, don’t use iodized salt because it makes a kind of metallic taste. Another good thing about this brand is that it does not have any basil added to it, I discovered it was really hard to find San marazano tomatoes without basil added to it.

I did a taste test with several different brands of San Marzano tomatoes, which we used as pizza sauce. This was one of the brands. They all tasted great, and were virtually indistinguishable, except for the domestic Muir Glenn "San Marzano style" brand, which had an unpleasant metallic taste, probably from the non-BPA can liner. Anyway, this one was good.

Cans were all dented

Came by USPS and thay are the worst. Thay where so beaten up bye them . But the taste is so great. Try it you can go wrong.

I always purchase san marzano when possible and this proved to be an excellent choice.
