Racing Headset for Nascar Scanners

Was not thrilled with the reviews I read but figured I would give it a shot and could always return them. I have a huge head and they fit just fine (I was wearing a ball hat also). Wore them to the Richmond NASCAR race and they were exactly what I needed. Did not block out ALL noise but more than enough so that I could hear the MRN broadcast. I was close to the track so it was understandable. Purchased two pair and used a splitter with one scanner...both pair worked perfectly. I am VERY pleased with this product!!!

I received my NASCAR headphone yesterday, and while I have not attended the race yet, I have used the headphones on my computer. The review before mine suggested that the headphones were too small, however I found that not to be true with both sets of headphones. Both users are adult women with a hat size of 7 1/2 and 8 and they fit perfectly, with room to spare.

I have no reservation in stating that this is the worst product I have purchased from either Amazon or the Amazon Marketplace in five years. First off, as another review states (I did read an earlier review that attested to the same tiny size, but I purchased these for use by a child), these headphones are ridiculously small, both in the way they fit over the head in general and over the ears specifically. Furthermore, while they are marketed by the seller as Uniden, they are actually labeled as "Racing Electronics, RT-24." They are certainly useless as a race scanner headphone--unless you count horse races--as there is no attempt to block out any race noise. Admittedly, these headphones are not priced anywhere near professional quality headphones, and if one plans to treat them as a simple toy never to be used at an actual motor racing event, then the price is reasonable. My advice: Consider these wrongly marketed headphones as a toy, and don't even attempt to take them to a track unless you're looking forward to a lifetime of tinnitus.

This headset is great . I use it to listen to my C B radio . I am tone deaf and it makes it easier to understand the voices . This headset has one ring at the plugin .More than one plug will not work to where you can hear both speakers . I like the single control on the speakers . You can adjust each speaker independently or using the speaker knob on the radio . It took me a long time to find this type of headset at a price I could afford .

I bought these for Martinsville VA race and should have known better for the price you pay. I received these in promised time and tried them on. Not a great fit but I figured for my 10 yr old would be ok since the cups are smaller then I am used to. I have a couple sets of shooting " mouse ears" so I am used to how they should muffle the sound in a quiet room. when I tried these on, they really didn't muffle much. I figured maybe it was just me and I really didn't have time to order another pair. The race started and you couldn't hear anything when the cars where going by. At Martinsville this is a big problem as the track is only a half mile and cars are continually going by. It was almost like I did not have earphones on at all. I would not suggest these to anyone that values their hearing or their kids hearing. I ended up renting a set for my son at the track so at least his hearing was protected and I used my shooting earphones.

I got these to replace a worn out headset. I am pleased with these. They do a great job of reducing external noise levels while allowing you to clearly hear a scanner or whatever you are listening to. I really liked that I could change the volume on one side, indepently from the other.

Needed an extra headset to use with our radio at the race... these are great. The only thing is that they can be a little too small to fit over an adults ears, but if only using once is a while they serve their purpose.
