Great Upgrade from Xenon Polystinger
Where I work I have been using the standard Polystinger daily for about the last 6 years. It is a harsh industrial environment and the Polystinger is the flashlight of choice for almost all the 60 employees. Mine turned up missing one day so I decided to try the LED version as a replacement. The brightness and battery life are absolutely incredible compared to the original stinger.Light: Comparing it side by side to the Xenon polystinger, the light appears to be about 30% brighter plus it a very white light as opposed to the Xenon's yellow tint. The three levels of brightness are a nice plus - especially when you are doing close work where the full power can be too much. The light is a fixed focus with a very bright center and much dimmer surrounding cone. It cannot be adjusted from flood to spot like the Xenon version. The light is much cooler and I do not thing it will dis-color or melt the lens like the Xenon units do.Battery: I typically got about 45 minutes of on and off use from the Xenon unit. I have used the LED stinger for over 1.5 hours on the medium and bright levels without it going dead. When working in electrical cabinets I can turn it to the medium or low power level and leave it on without worrying about it dying in the middle of a job. I have yet to run the light completely dead.Construction: Very similar to the Xenon unit. The lens on the LED unit can be replaced without special tools - the Xenon require a lens extractor. The second switch at the back of the unit is a nice plus and will come in handy when the primary switch fails - I typically had to replace my switch annually when it would get too gummed up with dust to function anymore. The back switch does increase the diameter of the flashlight so if you already have a ring type holster for a stinger it may not work with this unit. I have seen Xenon stingers dropped from over 70 feet, dropped into tanks of water and oil and left outside in the weather for weeks at a time and the worst damage required a bulb, lens or switch replacement. I expect this unit to be just a durable.

Even Better Than Expected
I purchased this flashlight a few weeks ago, and from the moment I took it out of the box, I've been incredibly impressed and happy with it. This is by far the brightest flashlight I've ever used, especially considering its size. It's comfortable to hold, a very nice weight, and feels very well built. The switches feel nice. I love the light spread, with a very bright focused center, as well as a bright spread. The strobe light feature is neat, though as a consumer just using this as a daily flashlight, I don't imagine any legitimate use for it. I like that there are different brightness settings, though it defaults to the full power every time you turn it on, and it takes a 1-2 second hold of the button to change to dimmer settings. Not long, but long enough that it's mildly inconvenient. I love that this flashlight is rechargeable, which was one of the decision points for me, and it's a nice quality charger. The charger can be wall-mounted (and includes screws to do so) which is a very handy feature. The only complaint I have is that the flashlight is larger than I was anticipating when I purchased it. It's still a great size, but can be a bit bulky for the pocket (it's larger than a standard mini-mag, which is about what I was expecting.) Also, I wish the head had some flat sides to keep it from rolling when on a flat surface.

Polystinger DS LED
This is the best flashlight I have ever used. I am a volunteer fire fighter and this thing works great. The strobe also is a great feature for me while I am at car crashes for traffic control. I got the AC/DC charger I leave one at home and one in my truck. I had the flashlight plugged into my truck for 3 days without starting to see if it would drain the battery, and I had no problems at all it started right up. I know to pay over a 100 for a flashlight, but after I bought mine I would recommend it to everybody it is well worth the money. Also the lens does not get hot like the other regular stingers and will not melt the lens.

LOVE THIS FLASHLIGHT & CHARGER
We found this brand flashlight while working out of town. It was so bright and held the charge for so long ... I loved it so much I asked the husband if we could buy a second one with the charger and spare battery just in case the found one is old. The price may seem crazy to some, but I have night blindness (thank's mom, not) and cannot see a thing walking out of my campground office. I can see a critter from my office all the way to the river ... more than 750 feet anyway. Hung the charger and have only charged my flashlight once so far. Amazing how long it holds a charge. Charger is super convenient. I bought this for myself for Christmas.

Not cheep, but a very good flashlight
We have a company that uses trained search dogs to find missing pets, and we have three of these flashlights for night work. The dog handler and the second person, the flanker, always carry one of these. We give the third to the clients who go walking with us. They are always shocked at what a great light it is, and how wimpy the light they bring along looks in comparison. The Streamlight 76810 is a very good light. It throws an amazingly bright beam, and throws it a long, long way. They have an excellent battery charge life, and we haven't had a single problem with any of them ever. It's not a large flashlight compared to say, a Maglite, but you'd never know it from the light it puts out.Are there other good LED flashlights on the market, I'm sure there are, but you can buy this one and be assured of having one of the very best.

Flashlight
I’ve had an older version of this lightweight flashlight , but unfortunately i dropped it in water for several hours and couldn’t get it to work again. I’ve owned it for about 18 years. Love this for working on cats, or a quick check on anything. Can’t say enough on how much I enjoy this product. I bought my daughter one too
