Are the V waves as bad as some of the reviews say? I want to get a retractable screen, but if its not flat I might go with a fixed screen.

We purchased and installed this screen 1 year ago (November 2020), and we've been using it nearly every day since then (including lowering and raising it each time) and it's great. Haven't experienced any issues with waviness.  Extends and retracts perfectly straight and flat every time. We installed flush with the living cieling above our fireplace mantel (note: we have 9 foot cielings and of course don't have it lowered when using the fireplace).
