Great Product very pleased.
I believe that this item is a great product for the money. The wattage is probably truly around 100 watts. The unit will play most anything except blu-ray. It is great for karaoke and it will work in rack with banana plugs for speakers. The lights are quite bright but they look nice and this really does not matter anyway if you use the remote provided with the unit. If you like to sing the unit will adjust the tone or key for those who need to sing in a lower key. The unit has two mics input with echo. The unit will work well with four speakers as well and great bass sound. I purchased two however one came to me with a problem that was easily replaced in a weeks time and problem solved with free shipping. So I rate this a 9 plus.

A 25 lb.PYLE OF JUNK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right out of the box I found the clear, plastic edge piece of the cd/dvd drawer loose in the box. I still cant figure out how it's supposed to stay attached to the unit without falling off, short of gluing it. The treble & bass mike controls would have been better suited for all functions. . The remote buttons stick, don't work properly, making it difficult to navigate the low quality video. The subwoofer level pot does nothing until turned up about 90%,then has distorted sound.( Yes I tested my subwoofer elsewhere to ensure it was good.)The USB plug broke loose and fell inside the unit when I tried to connect a cable to it. There's a loud background hiss during all functions.. What does Mode 1 thru Mode 8 mean on the menu display?? Not covered anywhere in the instructions..The radio has no signal strength indicator, nor means to scan for stations other than pressing the tiny buttons manually in .1mhz increments The main display lacks other useful info, but the unit does light up like my Christmas tree. A dimmer should have been incorporated. The 2 fans are quite loud..The frequency response is poor for a modern day receiver.. Even the labeling on the back of the unit has MISSPELLED WORDS..Can you believe this?? " INTPUT" What the hell is an INTPUT??.The manual is a joke as well.Read it for a good laugh.Or better yet try and understand it .Too much more wrong to even list here..I think the best part of this purchase is Amazons easy return policy.I already printed my return labels !! This unit even smells bad. Not the usual electronic equipment scent you'd expect, but a pungent stench of what seems like moth balls or rodent poison.. On my personal reputation & honesty,I'm not making this up !! If 3rd world quality electronics like this are accepted in the USA,then this country is going to that proverbial Southern Extremity in a hand basket !!..Sorry for the bitterness.. but others who may pull one of these things out of the box will feel the same way>>

luckily everything works on mine and it sounds very good running thru 2 pioneer 12" 3way floor speakers
For the money I think it's a very decent unit with a lot of options, luckily everything works on mine and it sounds very good running thru 2 pioneer 12" 3way floor speakers. Now for the not so good, certain people on here stated that the cooling fans are loud and cycle too much, I personally felt that it cant be that bad...but...it is! The lowdown is this - when watching a movie, sometimes certain movies require a higher volume level for some reason, this unit is fine musically with the volume around 15 or so, but...as we all know with certain movies you have to turn the volume up to hear the voices and stuff really good, once this unit is turned to volume level 25...here come the fans! They run for 5 seconds, stop for 5 seconds...on and on and on, and they ARE LOUD! So annoying with the cycling which seems ridiculous and the loudness that I always eventually just stopped the movie, shut the stereo off and put the dvd in the plain dvd player and simply watched thru the tv speakers, yes..the fans are that obnoxious. So what I did yesterday was took the cover off the top of the unit, spliced the wires to both cooling fans, tied them together, and tied those into a switch and powercord I hacked off of a mini cooling fan that plugs into a usb port, and then plugged that into the usb port on the front of the stereo. Now..as soon as the stereo is powered on, both fans come on and continually run regardless of what volume level, but are as quiet as a mouse. To me it was worth the effort. The only complaint I have now which is because of my ignorance, is the unit has a setup menu and I honestly don't have a clue as to what some of these options change pertaining to the audio, and the manual leaves a lot to be desired in definitions. So in closing, yes I like my stereo now that I've cured the fan problem, and I'm going to list mentioned setup options that I'm not understanding and maybe someone on here would be kind enough to shed a little light for me. Thanks. as listed in the manual: "3.1 audio out", "3.2 Key". The unit is pushing two speakers as said (2 channel) and any cables I'm using are simple Audio/Video cables. I can figure out the rest but haven't a clue what the above two change.

Just seems like really bad quality control
Purchased for basic stereo receiver. It is designed and set up for this and karaoke. Basic controls for volume and subwoofer volume. The other controls are for external mics. The do not control the unit playback treble, bass, etc. These have to be controlled through Menu. Not a big deal. I've just read others that infer that the controls do nothing for playback and that is correct. They are for external mic. Flaw: seems that many have specific issues that vary. Mine is that there is a wire behind the cd / dvd slot and in front of the cd platter. This prevents the platter from ejecting from the unit. I have to take a screwdriver and push the wire aside to get the cd platter out. Just seems like really bad quality control. It is so obvious. Not ready to tear it apart and fix it yet and I have 2 other cd/dvd players that I can unstall as aux. Have been an audiophile for years with some high end equipment. I think the quality of sound output is quite good, especially for the money spent. I still do some vinyl and there is not input for phono. Oh well. Even though it has some of the functionality, I don't see this box as a good surround system for video. Summary, got to agree with most reviews. Certainly not great due to so many problems. But for my purpose, music playback, it does a reasonably good job. Rating this middle of the road or a bit less. I concur the lights are bright and makes button labels tough to see. Hope it holds up, think I will keep this one.

The blue lights gives a cool look to the receiver
I am impressed with the sound quality, and I am also impressed with how many functions this product has. The product plays MP3s, including MP3 discs. The blue lights gives a cool look to the receiver. Overall, it is a very functional and an impressive piece of equipment that was an inexpensive bargain.

Great all around Amp for the price
I've read many of these reviews but I think the point that this amp is a cost effective escapes some. It has a ton of features built in, including a dvd. I used this for a multimedia setup for a school and it has worked flawlessly. Sound is good and everything just works. And they have a ton of extra features if they should ever need them.

Good functionality, but usabilty problems abound
The receiver does all what its specs promise: lots of power to 4 speakers, AM/FM reception, CD, USB, etc. But here is where it falls short: - the noise: there are two fans, they have variable speed. Even in a cold room, they come on at after a few seconds when music is played at a moderate volume. One of the fans had an intermittent scratchy tone to it, which disqualified the unit as music reproduction device. - the multitude of tiny buttons, lighted in way that the tiny labels are unreadable. And most of the buttons are never used. - the CD player tray is flimsy, about half the height of what you see in a desktop PC. - the USB does not play if a CD is in. - the USB always plays from the beginning, there is no random/shuffle option. Bottom line, I had to return it ...
