My nephew is pretty good at the Fortnite game and wanted to publish some fan information on YouTube. His first efforts using his webcam were a bit dark and when he used a desk lamp the results were even worse, as the tungsten lighting was too bright. I found this ring lighting kit on Amazon; it has 2 tripods; one for holding the ring light and the other for holding a camera or mobile phone using the supplied adapter. The ring light set has 3 white settings; cold white, warm white or a mixture of the two. There are also 6 intensity settings to enable you to get the right light for making your video. The results are outstanding, making his gaming desk look like a professional studio. If you look up "Fortnite" on YouTube you might just find his channel, although there are many others as well.

I ordered this photo light for my daughter as she’s really into technology, her phone, camera, social media, etc so I thought it would be perfect for her. She is over the moon with it. She tells me it gives her ‘the best lighting’ to take her selfies and do her videos with, is easy to set up (she did it by herself and she’s 12!) and it allows her to be able to film and take photos in pretty much any natural lighting because even in the dark it adds enough of a glow that she can be seen. It’s actually really good value for money considering what professional filming equipment costs, and good quality also. Perfect for those into the social media world.

The focus of this review is the LED ring light - for I found the mini camera stand insufficiently stable for my use. However, I can unreservedly recommend the light. It is USB powered, making it convenient to operate with a lap top, the light stand is totally stable, giving some degree of flexibility, and the lighting options are perfect for conferencing. I like the different settings of light quality and intensity, particularly useful as daylight fades and you simply want to ramp up some forward lighting. Most significant is the price point, making it excellent value for money.

An updated review after having this item for some time, and also now that the honeymoon period is over…. So in an attempt to glam up my daily work zoom meetings, which semi worked, I decided on getting this ring light. It comes in three modes and a few levels of brightness, all on a wired remote control. I’m not even sure you technically call it remote control if it’s attached?? Anyway, at least with it being stuck to the light with no means of escape, it also means a loser like me (literally) isn’t going to -well lose it. That said, the reason for the lower score is because the stand, although with ‘gripped’ feet (I mean about as gripped as Bambi on ice) will continually fall over at any given moment. Its other party trick (which I’m slightly jealous of) is its ability to do the splits randomly. In the end it’s dance moves were some what of a distraction, so I had to tell it to hang up it’s dancing shoes for good and that the show will ‘not’ go on. Oh and a heads up on the overly good reviews for this company, they like to use the old bribery freebie/voucher tactic to gain better reviews. I ended up buying a bigger, better and much more sturdy ring light elsewhere.

This product arrived safe and well packaged. This is more than just a light, it's a whole kit. This includes the mini folding tripod stand, the circular light unit, filters/diffusers and phone/camera holders. This can either be used as a standard directional light source, a portrait light (gives a great eye reflection), or even a shoot through light using the holders that are included. The brightness can be easily adjusted to different levels and colour temperatures to suit a host of photography situations. This light is so versatile and very compact, so a great addition to any photography kit! And it's just super easy to use!! I highly recommend this product.

This is a really good value ring light. Functionally it’s perfect. Does exactly what you need it to do. YouTube videos, selfies, makeup video, photos of small items (earring, rings, toy cars etc), this does the job well. The light has a number of brightness and different modes. So depending what you want to achieve from your photo or video, you will very likely find the correct setting. The tripod for the phone is sturdy and can adjust height and tilted to the angle you need. The tripod for the ring light is a little flimsy folded in, but when assembled and right light attached, it is sturdy. The cable is a very generous 1.5m.

I list on Ebay and needed something cheap, light and portable to move between home and work. This kit is perfect, the light has different colour and warmth settings and is very easy to set up. The mini tripood is handy for stability and works fine with my Samsung galaxy note 8, even though it is on the larger side for a smartphone. The light can easily be removed from its stand so it fits in my backpack. A great buy for the price.

The ring light works perfectly well for close-range lighting. You will need additional lights for the background if you are using a greenscreen though. Very happy that it works off USB adaptors (so I don't need to plug it into my laptop). One of the tripod stands was a little flimsy but the other one is great as a mini tripod in a small space. There is also the option to hang the light on a wall, which I may do once I have finalised my set up.
