I can’t stand a lead in view so easy to fit and only works when the ignition is on so no flat batteries

Great for the price, one thing I would say is the mini usb cable end could be a bit longer, preferably shorter wiring on the positive and negative side and longer usb cable, as a result I couldn’t hide the small transformer box (see pic) other than that it’s great for the price.

This is the second time I have hard wired a dash cam in and I purchased this kit for my daughters car a Renault Clio, loads of wires so it may look a bit daunting but a very simple process using the fuse piggy back wire (sorry don’t know the correct name).The whole process only took about 10 minutes as the Renault Clio has a very easy to access fuse box on the passenger side when you open the door, no soldering required just a case of using the fuse piggy back wire, crimping the red wire in the blue connector and there is a handy screw with a with a torx slot to unscrew and fix the ground wire behind then just tuck the power box behind the fuse box and secure it (I used some hot glue) and then just tuck the dash cam wire behind the trim to the desired location. Loads of YouTube tutorials to help you if needed.Summary**********The kit works exactly as it should, very straight forward to fit and does the job perfectly, I probably could have found it a bit cheaper but wanted it on one day delivery and at £10.99 at the time of ordering it didn’t break the bank. Needed new connections.This item does the job now that I have replaced the connectors, I used a multi-meter to test the connections and they were subjective to the angle of the wire to the connector.Though having replaced those the item works and does the job intended, cable lengths were suitable for my Citroen DS3 13 plate to run from the fuse box to the camera located behind the rear view.That’s not to say all kits would be the same but I would strongly suggest to test all connectors regardless due to the unknown of shipping, the item came with a 10A fuse which is far oversized so I’d suggest checking that and I installed a smaller cartridge fuse (the type you find in your UK plug socket) into the line fuse as there happened to be no rating on the clear one inside.FYI 3A fuses are most probably over the top but that’s what I had to hand and what I’d suggest downgrading the supplied fuses to, just to protect your camera.

I had to make a slight adjustment though. Fuse holder cable is much thinner in diameter than cable it needs to connect to which is why I think some people are having problems with a loose connection so I snipped the crimped connector off and used a screw down type connector block then wrapped block in electrical insulation tape for added protection.Can't comment on longevity of product yet as early days but has the making of a decent kit
