Needed to remove a few things...
So, the battery is working great, and the installation video was very helpful. But, my Zen would never have closed (without literally damaging the display screen) If I hadn't removed a thing or two.Refer to the picture: The blue things were wrapped around the hard drive to presumably help isolate it from shock, etc. Ok, well, I removed those first - took an exacto knife to get the "top" one off because it wrapped around the ribbon cable connection in to the motherboard, but they came off quite easy otherwise. At this point, it still would not close, so, in hindsight, I may have been able to leave those alone. Oh well. So, now, look at those two rubber pieces in the top left of the photo. Those were adhered (via some glue or double-stick tape?) to these metal bits near the top (internally, of course, back of the motherboard maybe?). Anyway, I didn't really "see" them at first, but when I noticed them I thought, well, wtf are these for? I started picking at one (the longer one I think) and it came up and off really easily. Rubber. Hmm, so I figured they must be more of the same - just some bushings to help keeps things from rattling around inside. So, then I peeled of that second smaller one, and, miracle of miracles, the Zen went back together with no problem whatsoever!! (sorry that i don't have a pic of the internal spot where those came from...should have thought of that before I closed it up...)Now, that last rubber thing on the left, middle of the photo, well, I don't know! Haha! I did this whole installation thing on my kinda messy desk. It might have come from inside the Zen, or then again, maybe not! It looks something like a rubber button - like, it's not one consistent shape. It has a small raised bit. Anyway, the Zen is working great without it, so if it "fell" out during the battery install, well, I never saw where it came from, so, I didn't know where to put it. I included it in the picture "just in case"... Perhaps you'll find it in your unit and have a clue! I shook the unit gently, and all seemed well and secure inside. But, also note, I use the unit to play music thru a mixing board, so it's just "sitting" there most of the time. I don't use it for exercise and such, so I never bothered to reinstall that blue hard drive insulation - once I got that sucker to close, I screwed it shut and was done! Haha!Anyway, it wasn't the worst. If you're willing to even attempt this, than you'll figure out what to do once you get in there with the help of the DVD, and perhaps my experience will help! Thanks and good luck!

Not a match!!
This battery is listed as a replacement for the Creative Zen Vision W. It is not! Not only is the battery just a bit too small for the Vision W, it is also too thick. There is no way to make this battery fit.

Batteries for Creative Labs Zen Vision M
Great instructions and included tool set.Caution. When opening up your Zen M you may have a small rubber bumper pop out. Instructions don't mention where this goes so open carefully and try and watch where this small rubber piece goes.Note: The replacement battery is slightly thicker than the old battery. I had to trim the ridges on the top and bottom of the blue silicon holders for the hard drive and you will also need to thin the two foam rubber pads slightly or the cover will NOT fit back onto the case. I trimmed each about 1/8".If the cover is going on to tight trim a little more. You don't want to use so much pressure trying to put the two halves back together that you crack the circuit board or damage the hard drive.Batteries arrived well packaged and the instruction CD was pretty good, just a couple of ommissions about the rubber bumper and trimming the foam.I'd order these again in a heart beat.

It works, but...
The size issues are real. This battery has the same height and lenght than the original one, but is a tad thicker. That is enough to make the re-screwing nearly impossible.I tried trimming the plastic protectors, and even took the hard drive ones off, but nothing worked. I the end, to keep my Zen working i had to leave the top screws off, could not put them in and keep the player working. Anyway it works fine, but now I have a crack on top of the player because the lack of the screws, that's not a problem for me since I'll be using it in my car the whole time, but could be a problem for somebody who wants to use it for jogging or something else.In the other hand, the seller ships very fast, and the product comes with everything described on the webpage.

Zen Vision M has new life
I found my Vision M after a few years of being in a closet and found that it would not charge. I found and ordered the replacement battery kit. Once I had the battery in, the back cover would not close. I contacted the seller and was encouraged to rewatch the installation video. I did but I still couldn't get it to work. I had read some of the reviews where parts were being removed. I ultimately had to remove 2 of the rubber pads from the Zen and it finally closed. I contacted the seller with this information and they had not heard of this. Now they know and hopefully others won't have this problem.

Great product, very easy to install!
My old Zen Vision M came to life back again thanks to this product! It cames with all the tools required to do the job together with a DVD with an instructional video.Video did not reproduce OK, but sent e-mail to support and they sent me the link in their web page. All the process took not more than 10 minutes and my MP3 is back alive.
