I have used these in anger quite a few times now. For what they are, cant knock them .. ok once set up and programmed and app downloaded on phone, pretty easy to use too. Yep nice bits of kit and well happy

Had these for a while now thought I would use them for 6months before reviewing them so I have been using them in all sorts of weather cold,heavy rain,warm etc and honesty they haven’t let me down once,there a little tricky to set up at first but once that’s done you don’t have to touch them again,there nice and tidy looking not to big but not tiny comes in a hard case that fits perfectly in the side pocket of my bag,they lasted 4/5 day sessions on one charge,did 5nights not so long bk and didn’t have to charge them,I got the matching magnetic bobbins and magnetic alarm holders so can just quickly pop on and off I would recommend all 3 tbh love the set up and would recommend these alarms too anyone can’t go wrong for the price at all 5stars

I have to say for the money these are five star alarms and function perfectly so far. But I like many of my age can struggle with new tech. Just to change the volume on one of the alarms is such a faff. The led screen on the sounder box which you have to use to adjust everything on the alarm heads and sounder is so small I found it tough to read and work out the sequence you needed to go through just to change one thing on the alarm. I love these alarms but with an instruction booklet which is not very helpful I am sorry to say, I finally got them set up to work and left them alone since then. Which to me seems a little pointless if you have all these functions and do not use them. So they are not perfect but still great value for money and I like the usb rechargeable function, no one wants to pollute the planet with more throw away batteries well done.

The media could not be loaded. Pretty disappointed with New Direction as a whole. I have purchased a few bits of their equipment now from water buckets to bite alarms and not one piece has ever blown me away but they done the job.- Alarms have always had issues connecting to the app properly, but providing the receiver works it isn't that much of a issue.- The yellow led looks more like a green on the alarms.- Water bucket with lights goes stiff and rusty.- Teflon Bobbins are hideous and just to bulbous.- now not even 3 years and only about 30 nights of use the s9r has packed up. Looking online this is very common, especially if they get damp. This makes the whole setup useless as now the app simply won't work because you need the receievr to work to connect to that. With no receiver it isn't sensible to be night fishing.I have reached out to new direction as I have never had a set of alarms/receiver pack up so quickly. I have an old Fox alarm that is going with aa batteries! Unfortunatley today I have being told to buy a new receiver as the old one appears to be malfunctioning.That is awseome customer service! Not. If the company themselves are not surprised that it has become defective and as soon as a replacement is needed push for a sale instead of keeping customers then they will no longer be receiving my money!Buy cheap, buy twice as they say!Avoid!

Bite alarms and receiver are great, however the app doesn't work on new phones. This has been fed back, but doesn't seem nhigh on their agenda.

I ordered these as they were fairly cheap at the time for 3 alarms, receiver and rechargeable.I've had these a few months now, and aside from them being a little small - they've been great. Lots of configuration, the receiver works well and is loud for overnight. You can also install the app on your phone and have alerts sent to that. Battery life is decent, last a few days / sessions and charge fairly quickly.My only criticism would be the size, they are small! So if you're using larger carp rods, and fishing for heavier weights - I'd probably go for a more expensive set that are larger and sturdier.Overall I'm pretty happy with them.

I recently took delivery of the 3 alarm presentation set which includes the alarms, reciever and charging cables. Delivery was next day so really cannot be faulted..I have used delkims for the last 10 years but wanted to upgrade to something a bit more modern...I certainly wasn't disappointed. The alarms and receiver have built in batteries so there is no chance of batteries going flat whilst on a trip, as they can be charged from my power bank..big advantage..the alarms are really compact but full of features. Tones, volume and sensitivity can all be adjusted remotely. These features are controlled through the receiver or the app. ( I prefer to use the app tbh)...these alarms offer fantastic value for money and I have already reccomended to at least 4 of my fishing buddies...don't be deterred by the price as they are top notch.. quality alarms without the carp tax
