Great Foil Quill Starter Kit for Silhouette Cameo 4 — Easy Setup & Beautiful Results
I bought this We R Memory Keepers Foil Quill Starter Kit to use with my Silhouette Cameo 4, and it works really well. The adapters fit perfectly into the Cameo tool carriage, and the tips heat up quickly via USB. The kit includes three tip sizes — fine, standard, and bold — allowing you to create both delicate details and bold metallic accents. The foil transfers smoothly and clearly on cardstock and paper when using slower speeds and firm pressure. The starter pack comes with several foil sheets and heat-resistant tape — great for beginners and small projects. The only downside is that the USB cable is a bit short. • Easy to set up and use with Silhouette Cameo 4 • Multiple tip sizes for different effects • Smooth, professional-looking foil transfer • Includes foil sheets and heat tape But • USB cable could be longer If you want to add shiny foil details with your Silhouette Cameo 4, this kit is a great starting point. Just be ready to buy more foil quickly if you do a lot of crafting.

LOVE IT
Love this foil quill set. It works much better that the cricut foil set.

Worked great!
Worked phenomenally, the only issue I had was when I used it the first time I didn’t put the tool in all the way (I included a picture of how deep to put it into cricut). I do think it’s a bit expensive for what it is, and it was a bit difficult to get the foil taped evenly without it being loose but it was simple to use other than that!

Took a little practice but great foiling.
I have a Silhouette Portrait 4 and I wanted to foil some Christmas ornaments that were made from thick cardstock. It took a little trial and error but I finally found the right settings for the paper & walla! my Christmas ornaments were made. My family loved them. I will be making more card using the We R Memory foiling system. If you're having issues please try again with different settings. The one thing I can say is that it may take another piece of cardstock under your project to get the correct depth & pressure. That was the fix for me. It was a great value for the price point & are easy to use.

Works great with joy xtra !
Works with cricut joy xtra (and probably cricut joy, since I think the tool clamps are the same size!). Note you can't use the cricut adapter, you'll need a rubber band or plastic spacer to keep the tool at the right "height" in the clamp. It will fit perfectly snug though. I recommend using the "foil" setting on the cricut app, and adjusting to more pressure for the bold tip.

Adapters not compatible with Loklik Cutting Machine 2
None of the adapters work with the Loklik Cutting Machine 2 (iCraft).

So awesome!
I was bummed that I'd need a more expensive machine to do some heat foil stuff, so I was so excited when I found this item! I think the price is great for all the adapters, different sizes of heat pen, and little sample foils. Works perfect with my silhouette cameo 2nd gen, plugged directly into the silhouette's usb port. I'm sooo happy an item like this exists, haha.

Silhouette Cameo 4 & 5 Not compatible!
Original: Not compatible without an additional adapter for Cameo 4 :/ Update: contacted customer service at silhouette. They mentioned that the D adapter will work just fine via friction mount. I’ve found that to be true. Looks like it does work in the cameo 4.

I bought the ScanNCut's foiling kit as soon as it was released but I have always had problems with getting the foiling done correctly first time. Then I saw this hot foiling system from We R memory keepers and it's possibly one of the best things I've bought to gobwith my ScanNCut SDX1200 machine. It gives such amazing results, it's so much faster than the official foiling kit and I'm totally blown away by the level of detail that these foil pens will capture. It's easy to set up and it's great being able to run the pens from a USB power bank. There's a light on the top that tells you when the pen is plugged in so you'll never take it out without realising that the it's still connected to the battery, the actual nib is nicely protected from so you can't burn yourself and it's quick and easy to use. I am totally thrilled and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to add that personalized effect to their work. It's opening a lot of doors for me and I'm really excited.
