I bought the dual-channel 8GB memory, but what I was 'supposed to' buy was the quad-channel 16GB set. I actually bought 4 sets of the 8GB pairs, so this review could have 4 times the weight of other reviews.Why did I get dual channel memory when my pc supports quad-channel? All memory supports all channels. Single channel (I can't think of a single platform that still actively advertises that), dual channel (what most people have), triple channel (some AMD and i5/i7 processors support this), and quad channel (currently only supported on LGA2011 sockets, as far as I know) memory is all the same. The memory doesn't have all that much to do the channels (this is simplified). The determining factor in how many channels your pc supports is based on your CPU/motherboard chipset. As far as memory is concerned, if it's the right speed, and if you have enough, it 'should' support all the channels your PC does. The catch is, most memory modules have very slight differences, even among the same manufacturing batches. If the timing is at all off, you won't get the benefits of having more channels. For this reason, most people suggest buying memory kits that are guaranteed (through testing) to work together at the same speed. If you just want to add some memory to your PC and be done with it, by all means, go for it.I bought 4 sets of 8 GB of 'dual channel' memory because it was cheaper than buying 2 sets of 16 GB of 'quad channel' memory. It was cheaper by around $45-50. That was a few weeks ago. Now... at the time of this review... the savings aren't as good, and I may have gone with the quad channel kit. Also, all of the DIMMs I got were manufactured mid-February of 2012 (as stated by CPU-Z).As for the actual review. All 8 sticks of memory have the exact same timings, so I am able to run them as quad channel. They're staying nice and cool (which is more than I can say about my CPU, I may have to reseat the CPU cooler) and are performing quite well. This may as well be considered Low-Profile memory and isn't blocking my overly large CPU fan (Frio OCK) which is a feat in itself.In summary, I bought 4 sets of GB RAM because I'm cheap. It's worked out quite well, and I have no complaints. The memory is working as it should and there's not much else to add.

This is optimum amount of RAM for any Power user that doesn't want to spend too much on RAM, wants performance, or only has two RAM slots on their Mini-ITX boards - which I think is standard anyways.The clock speeds are FAST. Yes, the might not be top of the line RAM sticks, but I really see the difference between standard and HyperX not that I have tried it for myself.The most important thing for computers these days is ultimately RAM. Too little: Can't run anything. Too much: Your computer can actually lose perfermonce due to allocation timing (RAM scramblers are great too if your BIOS supports them). 8GB is (in my opinion) the perfect amount of RAM of you aren't one of those crazy people who need the entire Adobe CS6 Suite opened at once (those people are crazy!). 16GB is great if you need to export HUMONGOUS video files, or need to run multiple Systems at the same time, but it honestly seems like too much to me.I recommend this to anyone who needs affordability, reliability, and speed.

Does what it's supposed to do. Sixteen GB of ram memory. NOTE: make sure that your OS and your motherboard support the 16 BG, or else it won't work as desired. CAUTION: I am no computer expert, so I messed up the installation at first: I opened the cabinet, forgot to don my anti-electrostatic band; released the four latches; pulled out the old four sticks; then, using one hand only, I put in the new dimm sticks starting by inserting the CORNER opposite the latch; then the corner next to the latch; then I pushed in the latch-side corner; then forced the latch closed, for all four dimms. Then after I turned on the computer, it started working slow, erratically, and messing up my software. I managed to create a lot of chaos and had to turn off the computer without a proper shutdown because of all the mayhem. SOLUTION: I read the instructions, donned my anti-static electricity band, removed the dimms VERTICALLY with both hands; then I reinstalled them VERTICALLY with both hands, and both corners in at the same time; then pushed evenly on both ends; then when it bottomed out, I pushed down firmly and evenly until the latch snapped and engaged the dimm on it's own, untouched by me. Did the same for all four, and now my computer works perfectly, fast, and all 16 gb are available.

See subject. The modules I must say were physically beautiful and well crafted but not too bulky to fit in my two slot application. I had no trouble installing in a low profile case.Furthermore, I enjoyed and immediately noticeable performance improvement when I booted by Ubuntu 12.04 x64 machine back up, replacing the stock generic 2x2 GB chips with these sleek and shiny powerhouses.My box is a modest thing to start with, an AMD 11 x4 quad core 3.1ghz (800 per core) acer low profile budget machine. So it made quite a show of being calmly indifferent to the introduction of these wonderful specimens of engineering.In addition to the capacity, I am sure I now enjoy better performance all around in multimedia and entertainment apps (this is a media pc, for which I also had to aquire a low pro fanless vid card with HDMI to connect to the big screen) but also in day to day use.I could not be more pleased.

Just want to let everyone Know, I Heard some people on forums Talking about how this is cheap and low grade Memory.But don't listen to that crap. Runs real nice and fast and no installation problem in my Asus M5A97 Motherboard.Sure if you wan the best pay a couple hundred but if you want good quality and good price. BUY THESE!

I am using this kit in my gaming build and it works really well, but also came at a great price. I have been a fan of Kingston ram for a long time, and this is no exception. The ram is fast, works great for gaming, and is a lot less expensive than other 8GB kits. Aesthetically, this ram looks good with a lot of color schemes, with its matte blue color matching surprisingly well in my red and black color scheme. Its low heat spreaders keep it in what I would call the lower profile range, allowing it to fit under a lot of air coolers.Overall, this is fantastic ram for an excellent price and I would recommend for any system builders looking to keep their build within a reasonable budget, but also looking for high performance, high quality parts.

First wanted to say this is very good quality ram .My motherboard is a gigabyte z68-d2h-b3 and this ram works great with my motherboard and system i even mixed it with a-data 1333 with my kingston 1600 just wanted to say i sued aida as a benchmark test i tried testing at 1333 and at 1600 i got faster test time s running the ram lower than the stock speed which is 1600mhz i found this very weird but my windows scores were 7.9 at 1600 but my benchmark tests were faster at 1333 so i left it at 1333 and ran them with my a-dat ram mixed them and they are running really well right now either way tho gonna test some more may just run the kings by self at 1600 test some more and make sure but thats what i got but anyways either way best damn memory o even patriot is good ram its cheaper patriot is excellent ram too but yeah kingston till i die awsome good luck

After a year and a half of using a Corsair memory, I finally did a bit of overclock, which caused my computer to have hard time booting. It was taking about 10 tries to get it to boot, and after returning BIOS settings to optimal, the problem didn't disappear. Swapping the memory with no brand stick I had lying around made no changes - still can boot after 10 or so tries. Today I received this Kingston memory I had ordered for someone else, and after putting it in my computer, the problem disappeared. BTW, this memory IS listed as compatible for my motherboard, while the Corsair one isn't. So I suspect that the occasional BSOD and random restart I experienced over the last year and a half, were likely caused by the incompatible memory. Also, the Corsair was running at 1333 MHz instead of the 1600 for which it was designed. This one is properly recognized as 1600. I will update this if I continue to get BSODs like I used to once every few days. BTW, my motherboard is ASUS LGA 1155 - Z68. The corsair memory I had problem with was Corsair Vengeance Blue 16 GB DDR3 SDRAM Dual Channel Memory Kit CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B.

Chi punta su kingston per memorie ram non sbaglia mai.Queste kit da 8 gb (2x4gb) in particolare supporta la frequenza di 1600Mhz attraverso il profilo XMP.Ci sono diversi modelli Kingston molto simili anche esteticamente, capite dalla "X" finale nel nome delmodello (KHX1600C9D3K2_8GX) se tale modello supporta il profilo XMP.ATTENZIONE però anche la vostra scheda madre deve supportare il profilo XMP altrimenti non potrete abilitare le impostazioni ottimizzate automaticamente, anche se potrete impostarle manualmente dalla scheda madre (visto che la memoria supporta comunque tali impostazioni) tutto questo vi consentirà di avere maggiori prestazioni della vostra ram.Possiedono un dissipatore di metallo che avvolge tutta la ram facilitando la dissipazione del calore e che risulta anche esteticamente molto gradevole. Al tempo stesso sono ram low profile, a basso profilo dunque saranno compatibili con la maggior parte dei dissipatore per CPU.Se poi considerate che tutte le ram Kingstone sono garantite a vita dal produttore, se doveste avere qualche tipo di problema potete sempre richiedere la sostituzione a kingstone del banco di ram guasto. Meglio di così? ...5 stelle piene per questo modello, consigliato a chiunque.

Just giving a new review of an old product in case anybody is still using these on a budget. They work completely fine and though these may not be the speediest RAM they're of quality and have lasted me so far for 2 years. Haven't had a single problem with them and I would recommend if you're building on a budget and have found these for sale somewhere.

i will happily get 2 more of these when i get a motherboard with 4 DDR3 slots but 8GB of CL9 is all i need at the moment and its enough for my modern gaming needs, over clocking is an option but for the increase i will get over 1600MHz i really haven't bothered this is fast enough for me an i demand a fast system for gaming. This Kingston RAM does not have huge elaborate heat displace fins so no problems with fitting a clunky fan to cool your CPU. I hate waiting for anything and these 2 sticks do the business. Its a difficult decision when choosing Ram as there are many makes but Kingston HyperX is solid!

In meinem Rechner mit ASUS Mainboard sind vier HyperX-Riegel eingebaut. Die leisten seither (Mitte 2011) sehr gute Dienste. Von der Hauptplatine wurden die RAMs sofort erkannt und sie laufen mit 1600 MHz.Ich habe die Speicher dem ASUS Stresstest unterzogen. Kein Problem.Auch bei der täglichen Performance ist alles im grünen Bereich. Ich arbeite viel mit speicherintensiven Grafikprogrammen und das ist inzwischen echt angenehm. Es ist auch völlig unproblematisch zig Anwendungen gleichzeitig zu nutzen.Die HyperX-Riegel werden im Normalbetrieb warm; die Wärmeentwicklung nimmt mit zunehmender Arbeit zu. Gut spürbar ist das an den Kühlelementen, die folglich ihre Arbeit versehen. Ist nur ein Hinweis, damit für ausreichend Luftzirkulation gesorgt wird. Die Wärementwicklung liegt halt in der Natur der Sache: Leistung und Geschwindigkeit im Rechner sorgen immer für Plusgrade.Positiv:+ Top Belastbarkeit (Dauereinsatz)+ Unproblematische(r) Einbau und Installation+ Null Fehler oder Ausfälle+ Passive Kühlung funktioniert gutNeutral:o Der Preis ist in Ordnungo Die RAM-Riegel werden im Betrieb wärmer als andere RAMsUnterm Strich gibt es nichts zu meckern und deshalb die volle Punktzahl. Ich kann die HyperX-Riegel nur empfehlen.
