This looks really cool on my wall. I bought a few extra pieces and re-arrange some things to fit it the way I wanted on the wall and its great. Cats love it! They chase each other over the top of it all the time. I've added plants (not in picture) and it looks fantastic! It was easy to install but took awhile since there were so many pieces. I will probably add more throughout the house over time.

At first, I really wanted to hate this product. I know it might sound funny, after spending quite a sum on what is esentially a wall mounted cat-tree.After about a month of having it up - I love this product.Pros:- My 4 kittens (two 1-year olds; and two 3-month olds) absolutely LIVE in this.-Packed thoughtfully and carefully - pieces are very safe/cushioned.-Quite easy to assemble once you get into the groove of how it works.-Pretty well designed system that I could see being easy to move around/take with you if/when you move.-Was easy enough that I could install it myself, one person, without much carpentry knowledge.However, there are cons!Cons:-Requires you to KNOW your walls! As an apt. dweller in the big apple- this is kind of hard to do. It's not easy to just ask the landlord for a blueprint of the walls I'm particularly interested in hanging this device on. Used a stud finder (a pretty basic one) and even that proved to be inaccurate/difficult. I'm not quite sure if I've secured even all of the shelves in a stud - or if they're evenly spaced apart.-Instruction manual could be more consistent- found some help with walls and drilling pilot holes only on the websites version of the instruction manual that wasn't in the physical manual that came with the unit.-Though two persons aren't necessary, would make the unit much more easier to install in a balanced manner (Since I installed this myself, I know there are shelves that are lopsided or not even....but I feel like it adds to the character of the unit).- Requires some degree of carpentry skills-Metal pots aren't sealed appropriately enough that water will not penetrate. The seams on the black metal gardeners pots seem to be just quickly done and nothing that would substantially prevent water from leaking out of the pots that the plants are in, then into the black holder, and out onto whatever furniture, carpet, or items are underneath it. I would recommend NOT planting directly into the metal pots, but using them as a holder for small plants, and then removing the plants in their plastic growers pots and watering them in the tub - waiting them to drain off - then placing them back into the metal pots. I suppose it's design feature would prevent people that want to saturate their plants- adding weight to the unit, which could ultimately compromise it - so I suppose I could understand why the pots aren't waterproof.-Comes with about 16" extra inches of fabric and not much else (hint: esp. if your walls have studs that are spaced further apart). And NO extra screws. Think about adding a handful of extra screws and a bunch more fabric.

I have always had two cats. About seven months ago I took in four foundlings. With six cats in a single-story home, I needed to provide more play room for my expanded cat family. Since my house isn't that big (about 1100 square feet on the first floor), I needed to look vertically to add this playspace. And boy, did this work out well! First of all, the customer service over at Catastrophic Creations is amazing. They were quick to respond to my inquires, and they have at least one fulltime staff member who does custom designs for people with odd-shaped rooms, those who wish to build their own CatMod kit (a la carte) or those who wish to combine multiple CatMod kits into one mega-kit (as I did). Tabitha (the designer) was extremely helpful and was even able to modify/customize one of the orders that I placed through Amazon.com (that was shipped directly from Catastrophic Creations instead of being warehoused by Amazon). Catastrophic Creation's customer service people bent over backwards for me, and I won't forget it!The engineering of the components is top-notch, and the quality is excellent. Highly recommended to others who wish to provide their furry friends with hours of adventure and entertainment.

I love this stuff and can’t wait to completely catify my house! It’s pricey but so worth it, and they have excellent customer service!

These shelves are great and the cats love them! I’ve already bought more to add to their cat playground. I saw some reviews stating that the hardware for mounting was subpar. They give you all you need to mount the shelves to the studs in the wall and give you a nice grid to line the shelves up with the studs. I have an older house so my studs aren’t your standard space so I did have to buy additional hardware to make it fasten to drywall securely. You can’t expect them to provide hardware for every possible mounting situation or mounting material. I think they provide what’s needed for 90% of people and they look and work great.

I absolutely love this product. If your cats need a way to get up high and away from a new puppy in the house this is the way to go! I made a silly mistake and cut the fabric by just measuring without noticing where the grommets were and I had to alter the entire design and sew pieces back together which was a huge mistake on my part on a very expensive product:( The parts they provide like screws, drill bits, etc. are great quality and the way they attach through the stud is a good design! One of the pieces of wood was split when it arrived but everything else was great quality. I have purchased several of these products and they are all wonderful!

4 stars just cause it so difficult to install. Not easy. I wish they had better instructions and even offered different instruction for different types of set ups. I also wish they offered installation option. I would pay a little extra to have it put up by someone else. But I will add that if you plan on putting it up yourself, you will NEED a POWERFUL drill to install this tree!!! I got a cheap one for 50$ and it’s failing me. :,(I don’t know if it’s the design of my walls (Some 2X4s are missing or not spaced equally) or the screws are just way too long or most likely my drill is just too weak, but I’ve been having the hardest time screwing on those nails!! But it got better when I found a few screws (Just a tiny bit smaller in length) and replaced it for the screws that they provided for me and it went in pretty well and it’s sturdy! Just finished today and I feel accomplished!

Not surprised there are no reviews. Item is ridiculously priced.
