A New Favorite Study!
I loved this study so much! It is one that helps you truly understand God's word and learn how to apply it to your life. This was my first experience with SOAKing scripture and I love being able to easily look back at Ecclesiastes and see what the Scripture meant and read all of my notes. This is a wonderful book in the Bible, full of so much wisdom and Courtney Joseph and her Mother really help you break it down, verse by verse. Such a blessing and now I am excited to dig into Ruth this fall with their new study!

Very Basic Overview of Ecclesiastes
I hate to leave a negative review about a Bible study. But I wish I'd read more even-handed reviews before purchasing this book. This is a very basic study; it is not in-depth at all. For those of you used to more deeper dives into Scripture, this will surely disappoint. Almost all of the questions are content questions. Every day has one "discussion question" but even that one is very leading. I like a study with more application. This "study" is really just about reading the book and the author stating exactly what the verses say, followed by fill-in-the-blank questions from the text. The author also asks you every day to mark your verses in different colors so your whole Bible is colored up and the colors reflect the type of verses they are. This is a technique that was popular several decades ago and, unless that's your thing, it's kind of like a gnat during the study that doesn't go away. There were also a couple of red flags in the content. The first one was when the author asked what Solomon's parents did wrong initially in their relationship. But Bathsheba was raped by a king. David sinned and carried that guilt. I found it disconcerting that the author attempts to connect Bathsheba to his sin when she would have been helpless in that situation. Also, on page 36 where the author is making statements about Ecclesiastes 2 she states: "We weren't made to find pleasure in the gifts God has given us but rather in the giver of the gifts." Um...what? God is glorified in OUR enjoyment of the things and giftings He's given us. To state otherwise is just ludicrous. We should be joyful both in the Giver and in the gifts. There is nothing heretical here. If you want a light study with a very basic overview of the book, this may work for you. If you're looking for anymore more, I suggest you keep looking.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this excellent study
I can wholeheartedly recommend this excellent study. It is well researched, well written, and purely based on Scripture. It is a short study, requiring about 15-20 minutes per day, but surprisingly deep. I enjoyed it very much and will not hesitate to purchase Courtney's next study.

Great bible study!
I love how simple this bible study is but it's enough to make you think and really get into God's word! I've really enjoyed this study and love that the additional resources are free on the Women Living Well website (videos, question of the day, verse of the day, etc). It made it really easy for me to host an online bible study! Highly recommend and I can't wait for them to come out with another in depth bible study!

Perfect for busy career mom who really wants to understand and apply God's Word
If you are looking for a devotion that helps you unpack God's Word so you can understand and apply it to your life, this is the perfect Bible study. I searched all over Amazon looking at ratings to ensure that my time is well spent on something that is actually good, and this Bible study was surprisingly good. I felt compelled to write a review. It's filled with practical stories, aha moments; and it's broken down into manageable sections to help you grasp what you are reading and reflect on it. It doesn't tell me how to think, rather it encourages my own thinking guided by God's Word. I'm a busy career mom and needed a Bible study I can do bit by bit each morning during my devotion time and this was perfect! It set me up for the day with the right mindset. I highly recommend!

Learning from the wisest man ever to live
I have always admired Solomon and have read thru the book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible, several times before in years past. This time I used this study to slowly read and absorb the words of the book and their meaning.Instead of coloring the Bible like the writer suggested I used the Bible app on my iPad and compared each verse in 5 different translations (NIV, King James, Easy Read, etc) and really chewed on each and every word in each translation. Then I would return to the study guide and read the words of this author. It was great to slow down and absorb the words written by this man who had it all, did it all, ate it all and drank it all and shared his wisdom - written down for me to read at this time.I will definitely try another study by Courtney Joseph in the future.May God bless you as much as He did me during this study!

First In-Depth Study-Glad I chose this one!
I am only in week 2 of this 6-week study, and I absolutely love it. I have always wanted to dig deeper into the Bible, but was unsure of how to go about it. I have tried many different devotionals, and they never seemed to go as deep as I wanted or explain things fully. This is wonderfully written, especially for beginners. It has worksheet-style studies. It talks about the Chapters of Ecclesiastes in detail, but has other verses from the Bible to help you better understand those verses and put them into context. Very impressed with the study, and recommending it to everyone I know!Love it!

In-depth, step-by-step study
A nice addition to her standard studies! I am enjoying this in-depth, slow, and intentional look at Ecclesiastes. I do wish it would have gone through more proofreading to catch grammatical errors, and that the space allotted for recording answers was based on the question itself rather than being standard throughout, but these are obviously small things compared to the value of soaking in the message of this book of the Bible. Thanks to Courtney and her mom for the time invested!

Glad I didn't buy the Kindle version
Very pleased with this book - I didn't read the product dimensions and I was expecting something A5 size like study notes often are, but this is closer to A4 and more of a workbook, there will be plenty of space to write in notes and the answers to the questions. I considered buying the kindle edition as it's cheaper but I'm glad I didn't now, I will get much more out of this physical book as it's not just for reading!I have completed two of the Good Morning Girls studies already this year and am nearing the end of the Deuteronomy course - obviously those are using the SOAK method whereas this is more in-depth, but I've got to know and appreciate Courtney's teaching style over the studies by following her Monday and Friday blog posts, so I feel confident that I'll get a lot out of this study. I'm looking forward to getting started!

Enjoyable Study, Highly Recommended
This Bible Study helped me to reconnect to my bible and make it come alive through colors. The content was in-depth but not overwhelming, it helped me to pause and think about the depth of the words, my thoughts and attitudes.I really enjoyed this study and have already bought the author’s study guide on Ruth which I look forward to starting!

I really enjoyed doing this online Bible study with Courtney Joseph. She inspires online with her warmth and beautiful nature. This in depth study of Ecclesiastes has weight with many Bible cross references therefore it is not just for adults, but also teenagers who are confronted with our Modern day Living.Written by a mother and daughter for mothers and daughters.
