Valebeck Swivel Bar Stool with Back, 30 in

I’m really happy with these chairs, especially for the price. Assembly was extremely easy, all of the hardware fit properly, and everything lined up exactly as it should. The instructions recommend two people for assembly, but I assembled mine completely by myself and had no trouble at all. I’m an average-sized female, and I was able to handle the entire process on my own without it feeling difficult or awkward. I also really appreciated the packaging. I ordered four chairs and received four separate boxes, which made everything much easier to manage. Instead of having to wrestle with one huge, heavy package, I could move each box individually without much difficulty. One thing I would mention during assembly: the metal ring that goes around the legs may initially look like it’s slightly too large or that the screw holes won’t line up. It isn’t a defect. I just applied a little pressure to bring the ring toward the screw hole, and it went together perfectly. These are definitely an inexpensive alternative to much more expensive designer-style chairs, so I think expectations should be realistic. The first time I sat in one and leaned back fairly abruptly, I heard a cracking or popping sound from the back area. Nothing actually broke, the chair remained stable, and it has not happened again. It may simply have been the frame settling after assembly, but because I had seen another review mention a break in that area, I do think it’s worth mentioning. I would pay attention to the manufacturer’s weight limit and use a little common sense with how much force is put on the back of the chair. For normal use, though, I think these are fantastic. They’re very comfortable, they look great with our Tommy Bahama bistro table, and at around $130 each compared with roughly $1,500 each for the chairs that inspired them, I’m extremely pleased with the purchase. They give us exactly the look and function we wanted without making a huge investment, and if I eventually find something else that I absolutely love, I won’t feel terrible about replacing or repurposing these. For the price, these are a very good buy and I would absolutely purchase them again.

Very nice barstool with a price that won’t break the bank. I bought the dark brown bar height stool with the light colored cushion. I weigh 250# and it’s very easy to sit on and it swivels great! Simple to assemble with all the hardware and allen wrench included.

I purchased the high back bar stool in March of 2026 for $149.99. It is manufactured by Ashley, a very large furniture maker. As others have pointed out, you should only hand tighten the parts together. Tighten the bolts while it is standing upright. This way it wont wobble, etc. I purchased the fabric seat cover due to the fact I was concerned about the vinyl option wearing out, cracking, ripping, etc. I am a bigger guy and it is plenty sturdy. The stool has some weight to it. It swivels smoothly. It looks good overall but don't expect the wood to be very smooth like high end furniture. You can feel the grain of the wood since it has some texture to it and it wasnt very finely sanded. All of the wood appears to be solid real wood. The assembly was straight forward, shipping was fast, and it was well packed and protected. It come with a hex key for assembly. You will need a standard straight blade screwdriver to attach the back to the chair. The chair is comfortable and the taller version is perfect for kitchen counter height. I took 1 star off because apparently during the manufacturing process there were some indented circular marks at the same place on each leg. It really doesn't deter much from the product and it isn't noticeable enough to return the product. I do recommend this product and the price was about right. I hope this review was helpful.

Very well built and easy to assemble. Solid wood. Saw this stool in a furniture store and price was 266.00 or 221.00 if you were a member. We were not a member but negotiated to 233.00 each. The Manufacture sold it online on sale for 200.00. Amazon had it for 140.00. I bought two. Delivery time was next day for one and 3 days for the second one. I bought the tall model.

This pub height stool is of the highest quality, and looks great, and the seat and foot rest is very comfortable. Assembly was very easy and pleasurable. To note; the fit is so tight that, as you're tightening the bolt while installing the leg to the frame, you may hear a sudden snap sound. The first time I heard it thought I broke something, but quickly learned that as the bolt tightens, the leg seats into the frame with a very tight tolerance - which is GOOD - and as the parts slide against each other during bolt tightening, you may hear the snap. Don't let that stop you from tightening them completely as per instructions. During assembly, I was greatly impressed by the fabulous engineering of this stool. It's design is well thought out regarding strength and reliability, and once assembled is built to last. It was a pleasure to assemble such quality. I was happy to find this stool, but now that I have it - four of them - I am VERY happy. Another thing I'd like to mention is in regard to the assembly hardware that comes with it. The bolts are of a high quality metal, and unlike some other hardware I've received with other - to be assembled - items, these hex-head bolts don't "strip out" when applying the final tightening torque with the provided Allen wrench, or with the homeowner-provided Phillips head screw driver bolts. The quality of the hardware was the icing on the cake regarding my impression of the overall quality of the stool. A word of advice; be deliberate while using the Allen wrench because the hex-head bolts are harder than the wrench and if you're sloppy, you can start to round off the hex edges of the wrench. This probably won't happen if you pay attention, but if it did, you can always go and buy another one for almost nothing. This is not a criticism of the wrench, they will all round off if not used squarely and deliberately under heavy stress. If this stool looks like what you've been looking for, but are concerned about the quality, my experience suggests that you shouldn't be be. My recommendation is to go ahead and buy it!

I love these Signature Design by Ashley Valebeck 30" Modern Swivel Pub Height Barstool, Whitewash, barstools. They are east to put together (two sets of hands needed for some steps). Once assembled, they are the perfect height for our new bar. They are very sturdy! The white color with brown-black metal is perfect to transition from white bar to brown furniture in dining area. DURABILITY: There was a paper packed with the stool that said, in effect, that the cushion will take the shape of the backside of the person who sits on it -- and this is not considered a manufacturing defect. We don't sit on these very much, so I am hoping they hold up in their nice, plumped-up shape.

I ordered the 30 inches high, it fits perfectly with my counter, the fabric is soft and looks durable, I specially like the fact that they are not adjustable, my others were damaged by putting them up and down and spinning around, the distressed paint matches my coffee table

Very sturdy and a bit heavy. Well engineered and went together easily. Don't tighten all the screws until assembled and standing up. Comfortable for a stool.

Great value, compared to local furniture stores it was cheaper to purchase from Amazon. Very sturdy.

1 bought 3 of these chairs. They look great BUT one of them is uneven. It rocks a bit.
