Upgraded to this from the UB150, the difference is quite staggering. Interface is better and more intuitive sound and picture quality is excellent. Am fed up with robbing streaming services, and i quite enjoy watching movies again and again, so its 4K blu rays from now on. On added bonues is the quality of CDs being played tnrough my samsung soundbar....surprisingly quite good. Not a match for my seperates set up, but more than adequate for casual listening. Overall very impressed.

Believe me when I say this - the Panasonic DP-UB150 is THE very best affordable 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player on the market. This was the first player I bought for 4K viewing, and can confirm that is by far the best. Playback is both solid and reliable, so you can purchase with confidence. The player is nice and compact too. Remote is also of good size and quality, and always responsive. Playability is phenomenal. The picture & sound quality are second to none. Really quite impressive. I've tried and tested the model which come along after this one, and it wasn't a patch on the DP-UB150. Oh, and Panasonic 4K players beat Sony's efforts, hands down (my Sony 4K player barely lasted a month before it packed up working!). Within an hour of getting this player up and running I had launched Netflix, by accident, about 50 times. The netflix button is directly above the up button on the direction control. If you have finger nails longer than 0.5mm, it is very difficult not to push it when pressing up. I was ready to box it up and send it right back but decided to see if any after market remotes were available. There were, so I decided to spend an extra tenner to get a usable remote. It arrived next day and is just the job. It has a backlight too. The player itself is fantastic. I was using an Xbox One X as my 4k player but compatibility issues were popping up with certain discs so decided to splurge on a dedicated player. The interface is a bit archaic but it's virtually silent and a loads up discs much quicker. The picture quality from it on my LG C2 OLED is stunning. It blows the Xbox into the weeds. I would give it 5 stars but for the stupid remote.

Great 4k Ultra HD Blue Ray Player. I returned the recommended Sony player as it didn't have Wifi and the sound quality was terrible. This machine although £100 more expensive has almost everything you could possibly want, picture and sound quality are excellent, it has wifi for upgrades and YouTube, Netflix etc. It upscales older disks and even plays my 3D Blue Rays perfectly. One criticism is that it doesn't have an optical sound output so cannot be connected directly to my Hifi without buying an extra converter box for the second HDMI output. Highly recommended as the next best player is over £900!

In the past I have always gone for middle of the range blu ray/ 4k players players thinking they were a good mix of picture quality and price. My aging Arcam CD player had just given up the ghost so after some research I wanted to see if I combine the two players. I prized my wallet open with a lot of sweating and hit the buy now button. From the outset I was not disappointed, unpacking it you could see and feel the quality, after an easy setup I placed a 4k lord of the rings in, the colours popped out of the screen hues were rendered perfectly, with even the fastest scenes tracking without issue and smoothly. When it came to dark scenes it pulled out so much information while still keeping the scenes inky black. Only one slight negative if you can call it that, is the menus are slightly slower than anticipated. Putting a CD in I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and depth of the sound stage. A worthy buy and I am happy I took the plunge. Needs decent equipment to bring out its fullest potential.

Got this to replace a Sony player I sent back as it froze and locked up during the first movie I played, Aliens. So I got this player and have played a load of 4k movies. Every movie has played flawlessly. If your looking fir a 4k player forget the cheaper models this is the player to get. Player is nice and heavy the Sony player was so light and plasticky. This has a solid remote and a screen counter which most don't nice to be able to see how long is left without having to use your remote. Got this with £50 off so very happy. Hope I get as many years from this as my last machine. Update 10/12/24 Unfortunately after just over a month this player has started to glitch. A lot of discs the sound will drop out for a couple of seconds but now it's full on picture breaking up and no sound at just around the 40 minute mark so having to return. Have read online that quality control on these can be a bit hit and miss and people have had to replace this player a couple of times before getting a good one. Will order another once I receive refund and hopefully will be second time lucky.

Great 4K Blu-ray Disc player. Easy to setup and use. Why did I wait so long to get it!

the player is awesome, it has everything you may need to have some quality reproduction of your blue rays but the interface is slow and cumbersome. I personally dont use it for media apps like netflix etc as i have a separate player(nvidia shield) but be aware if you buy and you have such needs. Unfortunately mine come with 1.70 firmware so i couldnt apply the multiregion mod as it's for 1.69 but a hardware mode is available as well in internet if you sre interested on multiregion blue rays and dvds. 4k are region free so no problem.

Best DVD player ever! only issue is that it didn't have HDMI cable so i have to buy one but other than that it was playing very well and region free
