Excellent mini crossbow (with hints on string installation)
This is a great mini crossbow with quality materials. It took me a while to figure out how to string it properly. Here are a few hints : - do not follow the string installation on Youtube. The stringer provided in the package is different. Follow the direction from the provided instruction booklet instead - make sure the stringer is attached to the tips of both ends of the bow limb - if the stringer does not pull the bow limb back far enough for the string to be attached, you can shorten the stringer by tying another dead knot at the end of the stringer's rope. This was exactly what I did to get the bow strung. Once this is all set, the mini crossbow provides lots of fun for target shooting indoor or outdoor. I would also recommend to get a better red dot sight instead of using the one in the package. This crossbow is very accurate with a good red dot sight.

More powerful than you would think!
This thing is fun and definitely worth the money. Some people in the comments had trouble stringing the bow but I didnt have any issue at all, the directions were fine. I shot it at a good quality dart board and it went thru it. So buy one and have fun!

Big Boy Toy
I was a little concerned, with some of the reviews, one saying almost impossible to cock for a guy that's stronger than 95% of everyone lol, well I'm a 57 year old man with MS and have no trouble, it's very accurate at 20 feet haven't tried farther yet, instructions are terrible, but I figured out how to string it in about 15 minutes, solo. One thing is when putting on the end caps you have to put them on so that the the heavy tab is pointed forward, I did it wrong first and getting them off is kind of a pain, red dot is a bit cheesy but works well enough I guess, although I'll probably go with the open sights or see if I can fit a lasar to it. All in all a decent big boy toy.

Very accurate and can be used for hunting and is moderately lethal
It wasnt too difficult to put together and its pretty easy to cock. The red dot is a little flimsy and is prone to move a little bit wich throws it off.....but once it is sighted in the thing is dead accurate for 30 yards but then it starts to drop....the botls that come with it are flimsy and very easy to break so im glad i bought some better bolts seperate....while the draw weight is only 60 lbs....it will kill small game...i just dispatched an armadillo on my farm with a headshot for 15 or 20 meters...overall its worth more than what i payed

Great crossbow for the 3 people who placed a medal in Powerlifting at the Olympics
This crossbow looks great, sadly thats the only positive thing I can think of regarding it, she has many issues. The first of which is the stringing. Even following the (poorly written) instructions then a couple hours after atempts I watched a few Youtube videos to make sure I ead doing everything right with the stringer, which I was, so back to more attempts. Eventually I was able to get it on, I am convinced that it is the wrong size, cocking the bow takes a whole lot of effort. I am in shape and in my mid-thirties, and would guess i am in the top 5% as far as overall strength of people, I am only mentioning this to let you know I have trouble cocking this.I have to press the bow against thr ground and put my back into it, no joke. I have never had any crossbow even close to this hard to cock, and I have had 50lb and 80lb pistols/one handed up to 225lb draw, and this is at least 5 times harder than any of those. I am contacting Bear Archery today and will update my review accordingly

Save some money, don't order this package.
The x-bow is good quality and really zings the bolts out there. I shot a bolt at a pallet from about 30 yards. The bolt sunk into the wood and I could only remove it be unscrewing the tip on it. Plenty of power for any varmint or small game. This is NOT a toy. Now on to the package deal. This was the upgraded package that included the red dot sight. This sight is worthless. Cheapest piece of junk I've ever used. It's plastic, you can't really see the dot at all, and the plastic glass you can hardly see though. There is no way this will ever be accurate with this red dot on it. I took it back off and am using the "iron sights". At 20 yards I can put 3 bolts into the size of a quarter on the target. It took a lot of fiddling to get the sights right on at 20 yards. However, after getting sighted in I could never get more than 3 in a group. I shot at least 50 times after being sighted in and there would always be several going way outside of where I aimed. One thing I'd like to see for this little x-bow would be judo tips for the bolts. If you're shooting at a squirrel the field tips will just pass right on through. Or, if you miss there's probably no chance you will ever find that bolt again. It has plenty of power for a judo tip and plenty of power to harvest game humanly with a judo tip.

FUN TO SHOOT. NOT A TOY
Some assembly is required, but the directions were clear. There's an extra string that is a tool to use for installing the bow string; it makes it easy. No bow wax was include to wax the rail and string serving, so be sure to order some. It's fairly easy to cock, and once sighted in is fairly accurate. This is not a toy, and is suitable for hunting small came. You will need a crossbow target for shooting. You'll probably want to purchase extra bolts as well. All of that being said it's just a lot of fun to shoot, and is pretty accurate up to about 30 feet. It's surprisingly powerful, and could be used for self defense in a pinch.

Amazing power
This was my first crossbow so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I was amazed at the power and accuracy of this little crossbow. I buried a bolt 3 inches into a tree from 100 feet! And with the red dot sight it was only a few inches off target. My only complaint is the instructions for assembly. The fore grip photos/directions are a joke and the stringing instructions leave much to be desired. It took me about half an hour to figure it all out but in the end it works beautifully.
