Pros:Not expensive, Good video, Easy to connect to Wi-Fi, Good battery life on standby, not so good if activated often.Cons:Device has to be removed from wall to charge if not connected to existing doorbell wiringWill not ring existing doorbell when connected to existing wiringInstructions for sharing with other devices is inadequate. Had to get additional instructions from seller. A device name is automatically assigned for the sharing device. Do not change it or it will not connect.Motion detection doesn't detect someone walking up to the door, takes quite a bit of motion to detect.Unit gets very warm when connected to existing doorbell wiring. Mine measures 20 volts AC at the device and it draws a constant 0.6 amps. Not sure how long it will last with the elevated temperature.

This is a newer version of the video doorbell with a resolution at 1080P, I also notice it has a wide-angle fish-eye lens. The difference in solution can be seen on the photos I have included. The design is more of a brick shape compared to rounding edges of other models.To install the doorbell, I can drill 4 holes into the wall around my door or simply use the provided 3M tape or hotglue, to attached the bracket provided, and then I mounted the actual doorbell to that. The whole install process took about 10 minutes, since I didn’t have to actually wire anything up.Connecting to WiFi is simple and instant, it only works on 2.4gHz like most security cameras. To setup, I just follow the app instructions on how to connect to my 2.4 gHz WIFI. I would say it should be easy for anyone who knows how to connect a phone with WiFi and password to set this up. The video clock is automatically setup when it connects to your smart device. I can wake the camera from the ToSee app, to see what is going on outside very quickly.I love how the doorbell begins to record when someone is just standing by the door, this is done through PIR motion detection. The PIR when it detect motion, it begins to record very fast and appears on the Message box, labeled with a Motion icon. Other video types also show in the Message box, including missed calls and answered calls. I like how the Playback view is layout, it clearly tell me which videos are recorded by motion, versus videos recorded when the device is online. The area that can be improved is the Message notifications menu list, it handles all alerts from all cameras, but the Playback buttons are embeded within each camera. I would prefer if they are better organized as just buttons on the front screen, just for user convenience and design consistency.To sum it up, video is clean, well balance lighting and dynamic range is good. Video quality is acceptable which brings the rating higher than it’s competitors for the same price. Video storage is well organized and easy to playback by calendar, a criteria I consider important.

The view and motion detection of doorbell seemed to work well. I could not get it to stay on the WiFi, so was not able to use it's features much. The battery did not last very long (about 1 week), requiring you to disconnect the unit to be recharged. I found it very aggravating that you could not turn off the motion detection, so when the wind blew or you are working in the front yard, you got dozens of messages you did not want. Typical of items of Chinese origin, the directions are vague and insufficient.

I have been testing this doorbell for about 2 weeks now. I'm giving it a 5 start because of the overall performance of it. The battery life is advertised as 6 months on standby but who is going to use a doorbell on standby? I live on a second floor of a building so this camera will mostly only detect the four individuals who live with me. According to the current battery life, it looks like it will last for another 2 weeks, a whole month of life which is still pretty good compared to the other battery operated cameras in the market. The picture quality is great and clean, the audio is not, not excellent, but again, you cannot argue with this price.I would prefer the motion detection strength options were in percentage and not in LOW, MED, HIGH. In my situation, it only works properly in HIGH. It will go off once in a while but no big deal.Again, overall, for this price, this is an amazing doorbell and i would super recommend it.

I really like this product, works well and installation with app worked first time. But........ be very careful installing micro card in unit. After I was done with the install, while checking all the settings ,I noticed I had 0 storage capacity. So when I checked the unit, the card was gone. I knew I had installed it , but no, it was missing. After some head scratching, I looked closer, and realized there is a gap between the case and the slot and just maybe in the bad light of my living room? Luckily you can pop the back off and there it was . I installed it in the slot and everything is working now. Be careful.

I received this today and opened the package to start using it and immediately ran into a problem! I can't even open the battery compartment to get at the batteries! I tried for 20 minutes. I'm not a dummy, I've opened TONS of battery compartments in my older life! This wouldn't budge. I tried to pry it with a file and a flat-head screwdriver - no luck. Finally called AMAZON. They can't help, so it's going back. I also saw the rating for the accompanying app has only a 2 STAR rating! Big trouble there, too. Don't waste your time on this one.
