O'NEILLMen's Premium Skins Upf 50+ Long Sleeve Rash Guard

My new favorite beach clothes, but don't use it for nuclear accident cleanup protection.
This is one schnazzy swim shirt. It is comfortable enough to want to wear it frequently, and it makes you look in even better shape than you are.I love the fact that it is long enough to hold itself in place (no riding up), and it's nearly as comfortable as skin. I haven't checked to see if it's really SPF50 (I'd have to wear it for 50 hours in the sun, then compare it to a 1 hour sunburn), but it does seem like it'd be hard to sunburn through. It's not good for fighting fires, so don't try wearing it into burning buildings. It's probably too thin to wear as arctic protection (either in, or out of the water), and it won't protect you from gamma or cosmic radiation. It will, however, protect you from box jelly stings (but not yellow-jackets or angry bees), and if you're in good shape, might help pick up women at the beach.I like mine and plan to wear it until the seams wear out.

Keeps the sun off, and keeps me cool
I have worn this rashguard at both at the beach on 80+ degree sunny days, and at the lake while paddleboarding for several hours, and I was surprised to find that I have never felt hot because of wearing this shirt. In fact, once it gets a little wet, it actually keeps me cool. The cooling effect it gives you while the water evaporates from its fabric feels similar to standing in in air conditioned room, especially if there's a breeze..As for sizing, many of the reviews say to order a size up, but after reading through several reviews I saw that nearly everyone who described themselves as "fit" said that the shirt ran true to size. I like to consider myself a fit 5'8, 160 pounds, so I ordered a medium just like I do in t-shirts, and it fits perfectly. It is absolutely skin tight like its painted on, but that's the point of a rashguard! If I were overweight or had a bit of a gut, I could see going one size up, but if you are in shape it fits true to size.I bought this shirt purely for the sun protection, because skin cancer is no joke, and it has quickly become my go-to shirt any time I find myself near water. I'll probably be ordering another in a different color.

Great protection.
I had the O’Neill Basic, and it’s 5 star for my taste. So I bought their Premium. I liked the color. It’s thinner than the Basic and rides up my belly, but I got large, not medium, so it’s my bad. It dries quicker than the basic, which is great. Medium is quite tight on me, but apparently it’s the correct size for a rash guard.

Sizes are WAY OFF!
I purchased the medium-sized for my husband, which is usually his size. It didn't fit. Thinking it ran a bit small, I thought I could use it (I am a female, usually size small, 5 feet tall). It is incredibly tight even for me! I can barely put it in and it keeps dragging up when I swim! There is no way this rash guard would fit an average man! Maybe a very skinny one...

How to choose a size.....
Decent rashie for the price. The material is not super thick but adequate. Seams are all flatloc and comfortable. As far as sizing goes, I think a lot of people don't understand how a rash guard is supposed to fit. It's supposed to be skin tight, but not binding at the arm joints. They're made to go under a wetsuit and be completely smooth on the skin. The sizing chart runs true to size for a proper fit under a suit. If you want to wear this as a sun shirt and have a looser fit, buy one to two sizes bigger. One size bigger will be snug but not too tight, two sizes up should fit more like a t-shirt. Hope this helps you get the fit you want.

Perfect for swimming
Well I could say without doub that this is by far the best rash guard I've ever bought, the quality, the it feels, how quickly it dries after swimming it's almost perfection, at first when I had it on for the first time I thought it was a lil bit tigh for me, until I took it to the pool, as soon as I got into the water, I just didn't feel it anymore, it felt comfy in my body and well I couldn't just be more happy with my choise, though I would appreciate seeing different colors to pick since by the time of purchasing it, only black was available, I couldn't be more happy and satisfied with my election.

Comfortable and cool
We only started kayaking this summer and wanted some sun protection. I am glad we had chosen this one. What was pleasantly surprising it's not hot despite synthetic materials. I only wear 100% cotton and become hot if clothing has even 10% of synthetic. Not this one, it stays comfortable on the sun for hours. Of course, if you dip into the water and just let it dry on you - it's even better. Also it is nice to have matching outfit with my wife, and with our inflatable green/blue/grey kayak, too ;)

Size is way too small, and fabric is stiff!
I typically wear small in shirts. After reviewing some complaints about sizes, I ordered a medium. It was still way too small... It will be a two people task to put it on and take it off. Also it was very uncomfortable as it was too tight to move about. The length-wise (sleeves and torso lengths), this was properly dimensioned. I have worn compression shirts before, but this shirt doesn't flex enough to be worn as a compression shirt either.

Great fit and quiality
Fits true to size (buy the size of the t-shirts you wear), feels very comfortable and soft, looks nice, does the job it's intended to do!

Only thing to remember when you order is that they are made to fit snug..
I love the premium quality of this product.

It is VERY small.
Great feeling product. Excellent material. Very tight though. I order 1 size bigger than I normally wear. Really should have gone 2 sizes. Guess I really should exercise :)

Great rash guard
Comfortable and not prickly like some polyester rash guards.
