Kuhn Rikon Original Swiss Vegetable Peeler - Blue

My husband read about this peeler in the New York Times. It is amazing. Inexpensive compared to the other ones we have tried and even if it gets dull quickly, we can just replace it for that price. Our grandchildren can use it very effectively. I am delighted.. Thank you to whoever reviewed it for the Times. Fast and light and easy to hold.

This was the top rated peeler on the America's Top Kitchen show. I couldn't find it in this size so I bought the Oxo Good grips peeler thinking it was a new model and they had corrected the too narrow blade spacing that caused ATK to give it a poor rating.I was wrong and very unhappy with the Oxo but then Amazon popped up with a link to the top rated Kuhn Rikon 4" peeler.After a few weeks of daily use I can attest to all the glowing praise this little item received.It cuts just the right amount, not too deep and not just skimming. It doesn't clog on carrot peels like the Oxo did. It's easy to clean, just a quick rinse is usually all that's needed. It's well built and I expect it to last a long time.

So many good reviews but I did not like it . It looks cheap , not sturdy .

I was surprised that the peeler was so small and so light weight. So far, it has worked well and seems to be very sharp.

This is the best peeler out there. This is my second one. My first one lasted many years. Highly recommend this product.

After the very first use, the metal component rusted. Definitely don’t waste your money on this product.
