Does the job
These pots and pans are pretty good quality. The frying pans take more of a beating and are probably ready to be replaced. The non stick does not mean non stick, food still stick. If you use non metal utensils the quality will last longer

Great quality, beautiful build, you'll love cooking with these
I've been using Calphalon stainless for years and finally got a set of non stick. This is a great brand and will last forever. The stainless has been nothing but great except for the fact that they easily burn things due to the good conductivity. The nonstick set I recieved is beautiful Calphalon quality and from the little use I've gotten so far they work great. They heat up fast and nothing has stuck to the inside with using very little oil. You do want to cook at a lower heat with these pans of using a radiant cook top, they keep heat very well. The only way I see these losing quality is if they're cared for improperly. I usually don't wash anything by hand, if it fits in the dishwasher you best believe it's going in. These pots and pans will never go in there though. Certain detergents will damage nonstick pans (father is a professional appliance repairman so I know what these cleaners do to dishwashers also) so I suggest always hand washing of you want your non stick to last. Also use only wood or non metal utensils or you'll have a scratched up ruined pan. These of course aren't professional grade pans so don't expect them to out perform the best of the best, but for the price these are some of the best you can get. My stainless set has lasted for years, even through the dishwasher, and there isn't a single piece that has anything wrong with it. If you're looking for a great quality set that will last I highly suggest anything by Calphalon. Unless you're a professional chef and have to have 15 layers of metal surrounding a copper core that was hand forged in Europe somewhere, this is one of the best sets you can have in a home kitchen.

Calphalon quality on a budget!
This reasonably-priced set from Calphalon has enough quality and features for the average home chef. The aluminum construction is thick, the handles are riveted, and the lid handles are securely fastened. Time will tell whether the non-stick coating will be durable. The manufacturer's claim that food will release quickly from the non-stick surface has proven to be honest. Eggs release just fine, without the need for spray oils. The interior cleans up just fine with a soft sponge and mild dish detergent. I have not had to resort to a scouring pad. Having said all of that, let me admit to you that I am not a chef, nor do I have aspirations to be. Meaning, the foods that I cook are not the types that put a lot of requirement in cookware. Reasonably even heating, ease of cleaning, and long-term durability are basically all of the qualities that I look for in cookware. I also do not have a fancy kitchen to show off my cookware! Meaning, aesthetics is not all that important since home visitors do not get to see my cookware anyway. This reasonably-priced, 10-piece set more than meets my humble needs. Why the four stars rather than five? I would have given the product five stars were it not for the silicone used in the handles. Yes, silicone is practical. It is soft to the touch, keeps the handle cool, and provides the user a non-slippery grip even when the handles are wet with soapy water. Silicone adds to practicality and ease of use. However, other products accomplish the same with all-metal handles. Silicone, unlike rubber, will last a very long time. I suspect most cooks update their cookware set every couple of decades or so, and silicone should last at least that long. Am I looking for a handle that will last a couple of human lifetimes? No, not really. If I wanted something that I could pass on to the next generation, I would have bought a stainless steel cookware set. Hard anodized aluminum can last a very long time, but eventually, even the best non-stick coating will wear out. Where stainless steel sets can last a lifetime or two. What does this mean? It means the silicone in the handles should last as long as the usefulness of the hard interior coating. If you want "forever", get a stainless steel set with all-metal handles! Even so, I am traditional and believe in avoiding the use of non-metal handle material if at all possible. And it is possible. It is simply a personal preference and not meant to detract from the product, however, to get five stars from me, the product not only has to perform well according to function but to also meet my subjective preference. So there, I have expressed my opinion, make of it what you will dear reader. As far as aesthetics, please know that if you want "show-off" quality, you will need to move up the Calphalon price range. This is a no nonsense, no frills product line. If you want "pretty", spend a lot more money and get the Unison line. The lid handles are simple bent metal with silicone. The handles are riveted, composed of metal and silicone. The "pots" themselves are straight-sided, rounded towards the bottom. If you want something with more charm, more style, look elsewhere. How durable are the lids? I have not dropped any of the lids. At this point, I do not know how well they can handle impact. I suspect if you drop them on stone tiles from counter height, that they will break. I am sure you can probably purchase replacement lids as surely there are some kitchen cooks who are accident prone. From the standpoint of reasonable use from a careful adult, I do not think you have anything to worry about. Do you need plastic spatulas and non-metal utensils to avoid damaging the non-stick interior surface? For the spatula, I would say so. With other utensils like a pasta fork, you can probably get by with metal if you are of the careful type. Seriously, however, I have not ever seen a metal pasta fork anyway. If you can, yes, get utensils made out of soft materials to prolong the life of the interior coating. Highly recommended.

LOVE this Calphalon Cookware!
Update 12/17/2018: I bought these pans almost 8 years ago. I am a single dad and cook everyday for my kids. These pans are still as great as when I bought them! They're well seasoned and work flawlessly and function like new! They have definetly stood up to the test of time. I have never washed them in the dishwasher. Always a qich scrub with a brush after cooking them a rinse and a towel dry. I would buy again, but it's looking like these will last a lifetime...!! Original review: The reviews were very helpful to me when I was looking to purchase a new cookware set. I have to say that I bought this set dispite all of the negative comments and followed the recommendations of the positive ones. I have owned Calphalon in the past and loved them, but never a Calphalon non-stick product. So, all of the negatives had me a little worried. I really did my research before I purchased, it was because of all of the comments on Amazon that I chose this Calphalon set. I promised myself that I would write a review and hopefully help someone else out as I was helped when I was about to make my purchase. I really wanted a cookset that would last for many many years, but price was also a big consideration. Thank you to all who took the time to write your favorable comments for this product. I am so happy with my decision. The set was beautiful the day I received it, and now two years later after feeding three hungry little boys, and lots and lots of cooking, the set looks and functions as well today as it did the day it arrived in my kitchen. We cook a lot at home AND take very good care of these pots and pans. They are always rinsed out (that's all they have ever needed), hand towel dried and put away after cooking. I love 'em! They're awesome! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone! Enjoy!

They are light and easy to use. Pot sizes are a little small. But overall they clean up quickly.

My set must be a knock off as it is garbage.
These pots and pans did NOT hold up at all. I am VERY disappointed. We have much older cookware that has held up much better than this. I believe it may be a knock-off product. The pictures show a comparison of Caphalon and Circulon pans we have. There is supposed to be a 10 year guarantee/warranty, but I can't find a place to do this in UK. =( I paid over $429 US Dollars for this set. Garbage.

Excelente producto

Calphalon is simply the best
I had a set for decades and it’s still performing elsewhere. I got this to replace it and like the older set it’s attractive, solid, unscratchable, very easy to clean and built to last forever.

Wrong Pots and Pans
We were really excited to upgrade our 10 year old Cooking with Calphalon pots and pans. We decided on these pots and pans, instead of the Prime Day Calphalon set because of the hand protection on the lids and handles, based on our previous set of pots and pans. We noticed the box opening had been opened and closed upon arrive. (photographed) Then we opened the box to find the completely wrong set of pots and pans. (Green Life, pictured) Sadly we had to return this item for a refund and hope to reorder, but new order is coming from Amazon US.
