PandoraHearts, Vol. 2 - manga Review: Great story - The book came in perfect condition and the story is fantastic Review: I found this series to only get better as it progressed - Picking up where volume one left off, we continue to follow 15 year old Oz Vessalius after he has managed to escape the Abyss. But what is his "sin"? The series continues to follow Oz, Alice and their counterparts as they begin a journey to uncover the truth, which leads them back to the original site of Oz's coming-of-age ceremony. I found this series to only get better as it progressed. The way they should. As Oz seeks to uncover his sin, learns about Pandora Hearts and discovers the truth of his own reality and past the series really picks up. The eccentric characters and and mysterious story-line really grabbed my attention. Each chapter left me with a strong desire to know more and try to understand what was happening. This was very hard to put down. Take the unique plot added to a sort of dark, wonderland twist and you have success for anyone who enjoys dark anime!

Great series!!
When I first read Pandora Hearts, I wasn't sure what I would find. The series opens up to a dark sinister plot revealing plenty but enoguh to keep you reading. I found this story very unique and the art wonderful. There are a lot of Mangas that I read out there that have characters that look/seem the same or the plot of the story is very similar to that of another. Not Pandora Hearts. Each character is unique with their own personalities. I found myself smiling quite a bit when the characters interact with each other. I also must say the series has it's own insanity to it. If you're looking for a new series to start, I think this is a good one. :)

“… it’s time for the curtain to fall on this scene!”
As Oz investigates the mysterious circumstances of his trip to the Abyss, numerous other forces target him for what he may represent and be capable of. This is a bit of a mixed volume. There’s a lot of action in the first half and a huge reveal about the truth behind the current status quo that wasn’t obvious but incredibly well foreshadowed looking back. Oz also has to make some interesting choices about who to trust with extremely limited information, which is a nice way to illustrate his character and what drives his intuition. In the second half things slow WAY down, and the reader is given info dump after info dump (and confusingly vague ones at that). It all seems important to continue setting up the series, but I feel like it could’ve been conveyed and integrated better. Overall I’m still quite intrigued with Pandora Hearts, particularly about the mysteries surrounding Alice and Oz. While I’m not as enamored as much with some of the supporting cast, the world and core plot lines are engrossing.

As expected of a Pandora Hearts manga.
I've been reading Pandora Hearts online for several months, and recently decided to buy the manga. To say the least, the series has twisted, broken, and touched my heart in many ways. The second volume contains some of the firsts times it did that. Raven's past being revealed, Oz learning what happens when the seal completes its rotation, and more of Alice's memories coming to light are some examples. And of course, Break is always causing a ruckus, which results in most of the other characters yelling at him. The plot is captivating, the artwork is amazing, and the characters are wonderful creations of Jun Mochizuki-san. This manga series is definitely worth any manga fans' attention.

Amazing!
I love this volume! The first volume was good, but I thought this was a lot better. After reading this I just HAD to buy the third volume (and I did). The art work is so beautiful. So far, I love everything about this manga including it's dark atmosphere. If I continue to buy the volumes and enjoy them like I have so far, this might become my favorite manga. After finishing this volume, I was so tempted to start reading Pandora Hearts online, but I refused because I want to read from the actual volumes. I can't wait to get volume 3! ^-^

story with many plot twists and beautifully developed characters
My daughter has been a faithful follower of the Pandora Hearts series for 5 years. It is a dark, thoughtful, suspenseful, story with many plot twists and beautifully developed characters. We are both very sad that Jun Mochizuki has decided mid-2015 is the time for the comic reach it's end.
