Tekna Smooth Club Saddle

BEAUTIFUL saddle. The material looks like real leather and I love that I can clean it with just a damp rag in the future. When I was reading other reviews I was nervous because some people had said the seat was hard but it’s not! It’s softer and more comfortable then most other saddles I’ve ridden in.I was also worried that it wouldn’t come with a cover and I’d have to buy one, but thankfully it did and it’s not a cheap cover, it’s a heavy material and it has handles to carry it if needed although I don’t think the handles are that sturdy, so I don’t actually use them.I really can’t say enough good things about this saddle, its great for a first time buyer like myself!My only complaint is that there are only 2 billets for the girth, instead of the standard 3 that you’ll find on most other saddles so that makes it look a little cheap, however all of the girth’s I use only need two so it really makes no difference to me. Other then that I do still love the saddleUPDATE- so I’ve had this saddle for about a year now and I still have no complaints minus the girth billets (again, not a huge deal) I recently had to change the gullet size and it was surprisingly easy! It probably took me 10 minutes start to finish. I was expecting it to be harder due to other reviews and the fact that my saddle has had the medium gullet in for the last year I assumed it would take some menuvering to get it to take the shape of the new gullet but there were no issues!

Piece of junk. The pins on the gullet change system don't work...could only get one of them to open the very first day that I got the saddle...tried for two hours.

My Favorite saddle in the world, I use to Trail ride and for jumping, it is very comfortable and no worrying about rain, very nice looking saddle and very good price overall !

Shipping was fast, and this arrived faster than expected. I was nervous buying the saddle without having seen it in person first, but like many, I do not have a tack shop nearby. I liked the look of this saddle in pictures and it did not disappoint in person. It can easily pass for a real leather saddle and I would not hesitate to ride it into the show ring. It definitely does not have the synthetic appearance of Thorowgoods or Wintecs. The seat and knee pad are a nice grippy vinyl material. The flap is a heavier textured vinyl or pvc like material. The craftsmanship is good, all stitching is tight and even.It does appear to have foam panels so likely can not be adjusted by a saddle fitter, but it does have the changeable gullet system. The panels are low profile so it will work nicely with a half pad. Some other reviews have noted that the twist seems wide and that the seat is hard, but I do not have an issue with either of those complaints (although I am used to riding in an older hard seated passier).I opted for a synthetic saddle for several reasons. First and foremost I had a meager budget. I feel this saddle is a great value for the price. Second, I have less-than ideal tack storage options. The area where I store my tack is very dusty and not climate-controlled so mold is an issue. Also, I don't have a lot of time to clean and oil tack.My only complaint is that I wish you could select the tree size you want rather than it coming with a standard medium tree. I would definitely recommend this saddle to others. I feel it is ideal for those with multiple horses, or young horses who are still growing and changing shape. It think it would also be a great saddle for a lesson program.
