I used this frame for my 12" thick memory foam mattress. It has proven to be very stable unlike wood slat bed frame I had originally had for my boxspring and mattress. It doesn't squeek and make awful noises when moving in bed. I live in a studio apartment and needed to be able to store seasonal items under the bed. The heavy-duty 14" bed frame allows me to use the space under bed for storage. I searched the internet and found this product was the only one that was priced under $150 was sturdy enough to hold a heavy memory foam mattress and give me the storage space I desperately needed.

My hubby put this together by himself and for once he actually used the instructions. One peice though tripped him up and it was the headboard bar that connects the middle strip. Make sure that that bar is inserted between head board legs. MAKE SURE THAT BAR IS INSERTED BETWEEN HEAD BOARD LEGS. If you attach it backwards, there is no rigging ot going around, you will have to unscrew the bar and turn it around, so do it right the first time. Make sure all screws are TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT, that way no squeaking happens. My experience I have had no squeaking. I love the height as Well!

This bed frame was purchased for a brand new 10 inch Linenspa Latex Hybrid mattress. I was able to put the frame together myself with no tools except the allen-wrench included with the fasteners that come with the frame in about 30 to 45 minutes. The sturdiness of the frame is going to be completely dependent on how well you screw it together. Just make sure the fasteners are snugged with an extra little turn and you should be good. There is no squeaking or noise rocking the frame after 3-4 weeks of use with my wife and I using this frame and mattress combo.

This was very easy to put together. I worried it would be squeaky but it is not! My husband and I are overweight and we can wiggle around on this frame without a sound. Great affordable bed for our guest bedroom.

So I really wanted to love this bedframe because we just bought a king size mattress finally and were looking for a sturdy minimalist bedframe to go with it. Unfortunately I made the mistake of ordering this one from Ambee 21. The quality control department needs to be fired immediately to allow this ridiculously terrible bedframe to be delivered to a customer. The problems started right away when I noticed that the headboard was bent at the ends when it was supposed to be straight which made it so that I couldn't connect the top two bolts on either side of the headboard so that it basically flips down the other way and look really stupid.The next problem popped up when I realized that end piece at the foot of the bed was improperly welded and one side of the bed won't connect to the side frame (I will try to add photos soon). This makes it so that the whole side of the bed is not sturdy at all. The last insult to injury is as I was putting the slats together, they didn't include enough and so now I have an entire section at the foot of the bed with no support. Thanks a lot Ambee 21. I've learned my lesson and I will NEVER order anything else from them again. I can see one mistake slipping through, but three major issues tell me this company has major quality control problems. Needless to say I'll be trashing this garbage when we move in a couple of years and buying something of better quality. I'm giving them one star because under ideal circumstances the bed would have been easy to assemble. I don't know where all of these positive reviews are coming from, but my experience with this bedframe was anything but positive.

Very easy to assemble. Actually took longer to unpackage and dispose of than it took to assemble the bed.The only problem, as with all metal furniture I have put together, is the inserts the machine screws go intoare sometimes not square making it difficult to install the screw. This bed only had one such problem butif you get screw started prior to attaching it will go much smoother. This is an excellent bed. So much betterthan wooden beds needing assembly and much more sturdy. Excellent for college students needing a bed thatis easy to assemble and disassemble. You cannot go wrong with this bed.

It took me several hours to assemble by myself. Biggest problems were getting the frame straightened out so the middle bar actually fit. I think that took an hour by itself. I also stripped a couple screws doing so. Luckily it came with extra. You may ask why I gave this frame 5 stars if I had so much trouble. Well, for one, it was far less expensive than it's counterparts. It is also quite sturdy. I am a bigger sized fellow and I can't so much as make it squeak.

The five stars come with footnote *for the money. I’m sure you could get a more sturdy and easily assembled bed for $1000 but this fit our needs perfectly. And we bought king-sized and aren’t light people. The sturdiness is helped by the mattress cross bars (slats) being metal and slotted to lock into the frame. If you aren’t used to assembling furniture, a great tip is to not tighten the screws until after they are all loosely fitted and slats are locked in place. Also, beware the Allen wrench bolts - tough on the fingers to get them snug (I used my rock-climber son for this step). To the manufacturer- sure would be nice to fit a hex wrench on these!
