Nails, bad. Screws, good.
I tried the "other" style of pocket door guide, the kind where you are supposed to hammer a couple of nails in next to the guides and the door and the jamb/stop. I tried this several times. All I managed to do was break the guides and damage nearby door elements. These work so much better, especially because they use screws as attachments. My pocket doors glide smoothly now (never knew how annoying they were without the guides).

Easy install. Works great. Keeps pocket door from banging around.
When the builder installed our pocket door, he forgot to install guides, so the door banged around in the opening when being slid open or shut. I mounted these guides on the trim after the fact. Not ideal, but they're not very visible down at the bottom of the door, even when surface mounted. They're very adjustable, and the nice big nylon glides make for smoothing opening and closing. Installation took just a few minutes. Slick, inexpensive solution. By the way, I ordered both these Prime-Line guides and the identical looking Slide-Co guides, since they were cheap (a couple of bucks) and I thought I might end up breaking one when installing. The Prime-Line and Slide-Co guides are indistinguishable, but the Slide-Co guides came with four mismatched screws and the instructions on the package were for a different product, so personally I'd recommend the Prime-Line guides over the Slide-Co guides.

Work Great, Easy To Install & Are Inexpensive
Least expensive thing we installed in our bathroom remodel. Easy to install, are hardly notable and perform well on our sliding pocket door to our water closet at far end of bathroom shown in picture.

Heavy pocket door slides smoothly; adjustable for a nice snug fit
This product has worked well and is sturdy. It channels a heavy pocket door with minimal friction and no scraping for a smooth glide. We had a substantial gap to fill between pocket sides and narrower door thickness. This hardware had ample room to adjust and easily spanned the gap for a smooth snug fit.

These things fix a very annoying problem...
which also ends up damaging the door's rollers eventually from slamming into the inner frame of my pocket doors. I can use just 1 for each door as the inner frame only effects 1 side of the door (I have 3 pocket doors total.) They are not a roller bearing, but nowhere near as expensive as a bearing either. These also install on the vertical frame as opposed to some which mount on the floor (don't work well if there is a larger gap.) My doors are stained and sealed and these guides don't appear to be harming the finish so far. Not sure about painted doors, but I would give it a shot if it where up to just me. These are super easy to install/adjust and I am very pleased w/ them so far.

Very Nice Product
The guides are excellent quality and effectively do the intended job of keeping the pocket door from rattling around. In the future, however, I will only order 1 package at a time. Ordered 2 packages and only received 1. I am guessing that since there is 2 guides in each package they thought 1 package would fill the order for 2. Oh well, lesson learned.
