Beginner's Guide to SolidWorks 2015 - Level I 1st Edition

Pretty thorough. I've taken courses with multiple CAD programs so I bought this to skim through as a refresher for SolidWorks. It had good step-by-step instructions.

Great condition and easy to understand

Book arrived in great condition. The book was exactly the same as described and for a good price. Shipping arrived on time.

Some of the drawings for the parts are drafted extremely poorly. Takes some brain power to figure them out. Also, during some of the chapters, the author will digress into great detail about different features. Can be a bit confusing and, in my opinion, could be organized differently to be clearer and easier to follow through.

It's easy to read and easier to follow the instructions , A great introducion into SolidWorksI recommend it dspite a few spelling errors

Very informative, highly recommended for anyone with little or no experience in solidworks.

The book gave me a great set of exercises to grow my skills even though it is for an older version. A inexpensive way to get a good project!

Got this to help transition from Autodesk Inventor. It's great for that.

This is an absolutely outstanding book. Everything you need to go from absolute beginner to proficient in making individual parts models, drawings and full assemblies. The "level I" sub-heading is deceptive as the aforementioned subjects are treated in depth in a a very methodical manner. According to the synopsis Level II covers some other areas such as weldments and surfacing and mold tools which not everyone will need though there looks to be useful information for all users as regards top down design and so forth. Our apprentice worked through this book over a period of a few weeks and went from absolute beginner to being capable of doing all the work we need for our machine designs. I bought another book for him at about the same cost (and coincidentally by the same publisher) but this is by far the better one. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

Excellent book for beginners. The dvd could have narration on it though.

Still strugeling to get past the first couple of excercises.They are not hard but finding the time to learn a new programAfter a bussy day at work takes some doing
