Sun Ez-1 Replacement Seat Assembly - Complete

I wasn't expecting much. But I was pleasantly surprised The frame has good welds and is very strong. The base won't work on the bent I am putting it on, but I knew that when I bought it. I do fabrication and will make a base. The downside, it is heavy. But it's not going on a race bike. Bottom line it's heavy but I'm happy with the construction quality and would buy again for my intended use.

A great product. My 14 year old EZ-1 rides like a a new bike, actually better than when it was new. It arrived promptly before the estimated date and in perfect condition. Its heavier than the old one. I hope that bodes well for its strength and durability. There are no instructions with it so I recommend leaving the old one installed so you can use it for reference as you begin. The only tools you will need besides the basic screwdriver and maybe pliers are metric hex keys. Here are a few of my observations as I installed it. Put the net on the backrest first. Get the straps good and tight because if there is any slack your back will press uncomfortably against the frame. Next attach the backrest to the seat. For this you will need two hex keys the same size. Remove the old seat assembly leaving the old struts attached by the back wheel to support the backrest as you install the seat. Replace the struts last and be sure to have the adjustment sliders on the new struts at installation time.

Bought this to put on a different manufacturer frame. Very nice seat except it's steel and kind of heavy.

I bought this as a replacement to the aluminum framed seat because it consistently failed after a couple of year. Although the seat back reclining feature is not as finely adjustable as the aluminum counterpart, I was able to find a position that is just as comfortable and so I am very pleased with it so far. I have not installed the seat cushion so I am not sure how comfortable it is. Hoping this will last longer that the one I bought it to replace.

Modified this seat to fit a EZ Tour frame and it works perfectly. Great build quality!
