Yes. The stand is black plastic with the name of the helicopter on it in white letters.

Do the doors open - No. This is a molded plastic model. The box indicated "Die-cast with plastic" I do not see any die cast metal parts. But I have not removed the model from the box.

this is a plastic pre-assembled model. when I purchased this model - I thought that it was a detailed / built-it kit. I have left this model in the box. It was not what I was seeking but it is an OK model for play.
