Amazing!
I tried a LOT of different colors for my front door with “copper” being the goal. Nothing satisfied me. Then, when I found this, I was very hopeful. I am THRILLED with the result! Beautiful, easy to apply, dries well and quickly - highly recommend!

The best iron paint available. Partnered with rust activator it works perfectly.
Item was as described.

Excellent product
I used this for a deadhead from this past season. I did three coats, and barely used any. The paint quality, coverage, thickness, and look are really excellent. I decided to use a homemade patina solution; perhaps the paired product would have driven more results but I like how this turned out.

Using reactive paint can take some practice and I recommend you read the instructions
I am an interior designer and have used Modern Masters paints repeatedly to customize products including an exterior pendant light, wrought iron table frames, picture frames, a flush mount ceiling fixture and other decorative items. I have purchased the paints locally at a high end paint shop and online through Amazon. My experience is that the paint online at least through this seller is the exact same quality as what I have found locally. The finishes in this series are outstanding. Using reactive paint can take some practice and I recommend you read the instructions, test it out on something you don't care about and then have fun with it. There is not right or wrong way to do this. I had a very pricey pendant light that was a return from a customer that I couldn't return to the vendor. I loved it and wanted to hang it in my own home but without the glass and I wanted the finish to be more rustic. My husband thought I was nuts to take jars of paint to redo this expensive fixture. But the result was outstanding. I used the reactive bronze and the coordinating primer and aging solution on the pendant (image attached) and the iron without the coordinating primer or solution on a wrought iron table that had a gold finish i couldn't stand (image attached). I love both of them better now than I did in the original finish. There are good sources of inspiration online using this paint. Look around. A little of this stuff goes a long way so there is no need to over purchase.

This stuff is great! I only gave it four stars because
This stuff is great! I only gave it four stars because, though it does contain real metal in the paint, it will not dry solid like real metal unless you apply MANY coats. For instance, if you wanted to say, maybe bushwhack that wife-stealing bastard Bob from down the block and turn him into an elaborate statuary piece and then secretly and ironically plant him in the park across from your ex's house, you would have to use approximately 127 coats of this stuff before its as solid as a real piece of copper. Make sure to plan your project in advance, I started my project on impulse, and even with the expedited shipping, by the time I received the paint the "canvas" was getting a little ripe! LOL! I highly recommend the acid-blocking primer as well, it helps stiffen up some of the "soft" areas prior to painting and goes on very thick. Also love the green aging patina, it looks so real, people already think its been there for years! Thanks Modern Masters!!

Any Modern Masters product is excellent!
I have used Modern Masters products for many years. I am an avid amateur home remodeler and decorator. I have been to classes for faux finishing and was taught how to paint by professionals. I spend a lot of time researching products before I buy and frequent forums where professionals exchange ideas and give advice. Invariably they recommend Modern Masters brands and say that it is a waste of their time to use other products that are sold to do-it-yourselfers. This brand is higher priced than other brands, but when you use them, you see how much farther the paints go and how better they perform when you need that extra "open time" to perfect the look you want to acheive. There is far more pigment in the paints and the metallics are very true and realistic. In fact they are so real that you can use various patina solutions that react with the metals in the various metallic paints. I also purchased all the patina solutions to acheive various color patinas. You can search "Modern Masters Metals" and find all of them. I am doing a copper leaf finish on a wooden window frame that houses a stained glass piece measuring 4' by 4'. I will use the Modern Masters copper paint to do any fill-ins of blank spaces and then I will treat it with the chemical patina for the end result. Modern Masters has such a wide variety of unique products, some of which are unfamiliar to the inexperienced painter. I recommend doing a little homework first. I can almost promise you that there are no cheaper substitutes. I have tried and failed many times. I compared and found them wanting.

Gorgeous paint
We have a bronze statue in our home who is a part of the staircase and we wanted to gift a replica to the original owners. I had a 3D printer at a smaller scale and needed a bronze like finish. This finish looks gorgeous. It made the sculpture come alive. Instructions indicate you need to mix some patina mix into the second layer to get a green or blue patina. However without it, it still looks fabulous. Update: after a few weeks the bronze weathered into a dark color. It’s a perfect match of the original. Very nice.
