2012 MacBook Air with water damage
My brother spilled coffee on my 2012 MacBook Air back in 2015 and had stored upstairs for 7 years, then one morning about a month ago I hooked up power to it and for the fun of it I hit the power button, the computer fired up to my surprise, I ran it for awhile and shut it down and it fired up a second time and I was just letting it run without any input, it shutdown on it’s own accord and I couldn’t get it to come back on. I purchased this Pantalobe driver to remove the bottom cover and this worked great..I opened it to look for any corrosion on the battery connector and found none..After the water damage back in 2012 I took the computer to an Apple Store, they quoted me a price of $750.00 minimum..I laughed and figured I could by a new MacBook Air for $999.00, which I did..my brother went in halves with me…
