Attwood 17720 Seat Swivel, for

This is a very nice seat swivel better and cheaper than any sold in my area would purchase again.

I bought this swivel to go on a shop stool that I built. I found this one that had a good price. Delivery was fast. I opened it up and observed the product was well painted and looked good. I noticed the swivel was extremely tight and difficult to turn by had. At that moment I considered sending it back but did not because even if it didn't spin it would work for my application. I JUMPED TOO SOON. Once I installed the swivel on my seat and sat down on it, it spins freely and works great. I guess it needs weight on it to operate. It fits standard boat seats perfectly. I plan to use more of these on several upcoming projects I have planned.

Easy install and a great price. It has lasted very well through the first season of use, time will tell for thinking run

All my treestands have swivel seats, most were repurposed [scavenged] from other projects , some from yard sales etc. When my cousin Vinny ,yes,I have a cousin Vinny, everyone should have at least one, bought a new property , it called for new treestands naturally with swivels .Three treestands need 3 seats ,got them ,and 3 swivels, only have 2 ,so ,off to Amazon I went. Found a good deal from Attwood ,that came promptly ,mounted it up ,and gave it a try,and another try,and again etc. no joy. I did the twist on it, no joy, my hulking 6ft3in son did the twist on it ,no joy. I contacted Attwood directly and a very nice man said the magic words" No problem I'll send you out a replacement today,and keep the old one " .He did it worked, and is now up in a tree , the OLD one is in the garage , every so often I ask someone who doesn't know the story if he can get it to work HA !! that show is always worth the price of admission !

I bought this 360 base to replace the base on my Classic Assessories pontoon boat. I have an electric motor on my boat and this makes it easy to swivel around so you are facing toward the motor for ease of using the tiller without twisting your back. I paired this with a 13” pedestal to make it easier to swivel around and also easier to stand up on the casting platform I added to the front of the boat.

I have purchased dozens of these which I include in kits I make for a non-boat related purpose. I haven't received a single defective item. I've noticed that there are multiple reviews complaining that the swivel they received won't move. This is it is a sturdy item and needs leverage to move properly. Once it is mounted to a seat or other larger item, it will swivel freely but will be very firm without any slop (meaning it won't rock from side to side). If it were easy to move in your hands, then once attached to a seat it would rock all over the place and be far too loose. Here's a test: Place your swivel on a carpeted floor beneath a door frame. Hold onto the door frame and step on the swivel with one foot. Twist your body and see how easily it moves now that you have some leverage. It's not defective- it's well built and sturdy!

This is a mixed review. I'm giving 3 stars based on the fact that it seems to perform awesomely and the one I received seems to be a nice sturdy construction. Also I tried to return and replace the one I purchased because it did not swivel??? But Amazon said no need to return we will replace it. So good in the sense that they save you some time in not having to return it. But bad into it that it seems to be built into the manufacturer's end Amazon's business model that a certain percentage of these are going to be crap. If I had been depending on this to be a prime delivery because I have Amazon Prime I would be very upset if I was expecting to need it within three or four days from when I purchased it. Luckily I'm still waiting on another part that accompanies it. Summary colon assume this product works awesomely and most the time will be delivered in time unless I post something to the contrary. But if you were ordering to use within the next 3 to 4 days, be aware of the risk that you will be sent a hunk of useless metal. But they will replace it and then another 3 to 4 days

Would buy a game. Mounted both seats on the swivel and they work well..

Yep well built , but just painted black , it would be better if it was stainless , but then it would be twice the price , if you keep it covered in spray oil , you probably never have to replace it again

Excellent product, a bit tough to rotate when not installed but it works perfectly fine when installed in a bar stool
