Excellent
I just received the Victiv 72-inch Camera Tripod in blue and I’m genuinely impressed. Right out of the box, the build quality stands out — it feels solid and well-made with sturdy aluminum legs, smooth-adjusting locks, and a robust head that inspires confidence. No cheap plastic feel or wobbly parts; everything is tight, precise, and built to last. It extends to a nice tall height (perfect for overhead shots or taller users) while collapsing down to a very portable size. The included phone mount, wireless remote, and monopod conversion option make it incredibly versatile for both DSLR cameras (Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc.) and smartphone photography/videography. The grip handles and flip locks work smoothly, and the overall stability is excellent even on uneven surfaces. For the price, this is an absolute steal. You’re getting heavy-duty professional features and build quality that easily rivals tripods costing twice as much. I’ve already used it on a couple of shoots and it performed flawlessly. Highly recommended for beginners and pros alike who want something reliable without spending a fortune. Five stars — well built, feature-packed, and fantastic value!

First impression – solid and well designed!
This review is for the VICTIV T72 (ASIN - B07QGW88GC) model tripod. I noticed there are images and reviews for other products mixed in with reviews and images for this one. TL;DR – you would not be disappointed if you purchased this tripod! It has so much versatility and a very solid feel to it! Pros: The additional mounting plate that you can put on a second camera to easily swap them out. The D-ring screw on the mounting plate so you don’t need a coin (or strong fingernails) to tighten/untighten the screw! The sturdiness of the tripod’s legs – I have much more confidence in this tripod than in my other one! The built-in handle for the option to carry the tripod w/o the case/bag. The soft grip on one of the legs which gives another method of carrying the tripod comfortably. The leg locks – solid locks and the 4 sections give a great versatility of height adjustment The center post lock – once you open up the legs, you can then twist the sleeve on the center post which locks the legs in place, keeping them from accidentally folding back up on you The built-in monopod – not only does it give you several more inches of height, you get a compact monopod that easily slips out with a twist of the lock knob, and then easily extends by twisting the foot counterclockwise, extending it to the length you want, and then twisting the foot clockwise to lock it in place. And the camera mount is still right on top! The camera mount – I haven’t put the camera on the mount yet, but turning the different knobs to make different adjustments feel very solid and tightening them gives a solid feel of locking in place. The hook at the bottom of the center post – you won’t have to set your camera bag on the ground, and it gives greater stability to the tripod. The leveling bubble on the base Cons: The only caveat I have with this product is with the case/bag and not the tripod itself. I think the bag needs to be about a half-inch to an inch longer to accommodate the tripod more easily. So far, I’ve had to really work at getting it back into the bag and positioned the right way before the zipper will close over it. Overall impression I really think I’m going to get many satisfying years of service from this tripod! And having a monopod built right in is a major plus! Oftentimes, I’ve had my camera mounted on my tripod but a monopod would have been a better tool; but I didn’t want to go through the hassle of removing the camera from the tripod, then removing the mounting plate from the camera, then screwing my monopod onto the camera just to take a few shots. With this tripod, the camera is mounted once and can then be used with both the tripod and monopod w/o any hassles!

Way better than I thought it would be
I love it. I take it with me everywhere and I have used it way more than I ever thought I would. It’s great for kids, concerts, and sports events and for not getting in the way of other parents with the stick feature it is awesome.

After refund for broken item, seller replaced months later for free
Update: Original review at the bottom. I received a message from the seller about two months after my original purchase and subsequent return for broken tripod. Details are in the original review. The seller offered to send me another one at no charge even though I had already received my money back. Upon delivery of the second tripod, I opened it and tested all the legs, their locking mechanisms, and the overall functionality of the remaining moving parts of the tripod. Since the second one was completely functional, I was able to see just how great this tripod really is. I'm 6 feet tall, and at its full extension, it's nearly as tall as me, which is what I was looking for. It's super easy to carry and unfold. It also serves a dual purpose, functioning as a tripod and a monopod since the center piece with the camera head mount separates from the tripod legs. It comes with a nice carry case too. I have yet to really run it through the rigors of a day of photo shoots, but for a hobby photographer, it's perfect. It does not have a fluid head but at this price point, you can't expect top of the line features. Overall, if you're a hobby photographer who needs a taller tripod, one that serves multiple purposes, and good for light weight travel and carrying, this is a great choice. Original: I was excited to receive this tripod after reading reviews. It had the functionality I needed and was tall enough for me to peer at my camera's view screen at eye level. Unfortunately, the mechanisms for locking the extendable legs in place would not hold up. After using it once and folding it back up, the lever and friction piece to hold the legs at an extended position broke. Seeing as these parts are plastic, I could understand how it would fail. Mind you, I was not rough with it and did not place an unbearable load on it. The construction materials, assembly, and overall quality of this product is nearly on par with products you'd expect at this price point. Unfortunately, I didn't have time for an exchange and went a different route. I returned it for a refund because, well, I can't put a $1200 camera on a broken tripod.

Lightweight and stable
At first I was a little skeptical with the price, I’ve always used my mom‘s equipment she has been a professional photographer for the last 35 years and always has the best of the best. I’ve started on my own now and needed a tripod for shooting weddings and portraits, I’ve looked at so many tripods on Amazon before deciding on this one. It arrived within a day and I am more than impressed. For starters it is my favorite color, it is so light weight and easy to carry, but yet so stable at the same time. I’ve looked at so many tripods on Amazon before deciding on this one. It arrived within a day and I am more than impressed. For starters it is my favorite color, it is so light weight and easy to carry, but yet so stable at the same time. I have a fairly heavy lens on my camera at most times, even without weight in the middle where they have a hook my camera still is very stable but it is awesome to keep bags of the ground and ensure all stays upright. It has a nice built in level, and the feet can move to any angle for the best grip. The mono pod feature is awesome as well I likely won’t use it as much but have tried it and everything stays well as long as you lock it it would be great for tight outdoor spots you just can’t fit the whole tri pod. So if you’ve been looking around, you can stop here, I would definitely recommend this tripod!!

Really nice general-purpose tripod, well-engineered, excellent value.
I'm impressed with the quality and utility of this tripod considering its under-$50 price. Clearly someone put a lot of thought into its design. It's light and reasonably sturdy. Construction is almost entirely plastic and aluminum. (All the tubular parts, such as leg sections, monopod sections, and center post, are aluminum.) As advertised, it can be set up to be quite tall. I'm over 6'-2", and it easily sets up at a comfortable height for me, whether in tripod or monopod mode. Speaking of which, it's got a fast-to-deploy monopod, which should be handy for outdoor photography. It seems to me this tripod should really shine for indoor use, although the center hook allows weight to be added to make it more stable outdoors. It can also be made more stable by not fully extending the legs. (I'm actually planning to use this tripod mostly outdoors, so it'll be interesting to see how it performs and holds up under those conditions.) Also as advertised, the pan and tilt functions provide a degree of "image stabilization" when moving the camera. With a little practice and careful adjustment of knob tension, I'm able to pan and tilt my video camera quite smoothly. The included bluetooth remote paired quickly with my smartphone and works great. That brings me to my one complaint about this tripod, and it's minor: the instruction pamphlet that accompanies the remote has comically tiny print. Unless your vision is incredible, you'll need magnification to read the 1.5-mm high font they used. Some reviewers have commented that the storage bag is a bit small. Maybe the manufacturer has addressed this in the meantime, but I found the bag to fit perfectly when everything is properly collapsed, with room to spare for instructions and accessories. I wouldn't want it to be any larger because then the contents would slide around. So, is this tripod suitable for professional-grade use with heavy telephoto lenses, or in very windy conditions? Probably not. But for general-purpose use, tight budgets, or where light weight is desirable, it's a hands-down winner. I'm glad I bought it.

The more I use this tripod the more I enjoy it's versatility.
When I purchased this tripod, I thought, "Gee, this looks like a good deal...". Since then I've come to rely on it as my "GoTo" piece of equipment. I thought it was cool that it had a selfie stick on it, wow, what an underestimation. I rarely use it as a selfie stick, I'm not that interesting of a subject. But, I do use it to get many new perspectives on out of reach items I shoot. I can get close to leaf clusters still up in the tree. I mount my video camera on it and use it to get interesting low-to-the-ground traveling shots. and so often it's use as a monopod for quick sets and snaps has proven it's usefulness. The tripod itself is stout and sturdy even at it's maximum height. The hook on the bottom is perfect for holding cables, my kit, or adding a bit of extra weight for even more stability. Smooth panning and tilting are facilitated by the great mount which lends confidence in use, no jerky motion, no squeaking or "grunting". The extra mount helps enormously for quick changing of devices. Monitors, lights, mics, all have been used on this all-in-one tripod. And yes, I'm gonna get another one, soon. At least one more. The brushed aluminum blue does not show dings or chips in the colored surfaces, and the leg clamps are tight and easy to adjust. If you haven't noticed, I just can't say enough about this tripod "system". A system, because it's so much more than just a tripod. Oh, one last thing. The bluetooth remote is GREAT and paired easily with my Android phone, and I only wish my cameras were bluetooth capable. But with the included phone mount for the head, I've had 3 different phones (sizes) used as cameras and all of them (Samsung, Motorola, and Google Pixel) paired easily (with the remote) and fit securely in the accompanying mount. This is NOT a solicited review, I just figured I owed it to you all potential purchasers, to let you know what a great tool this is.

Even better than advertized!
Exactly as advertised, except the color looks more like copper than orange. It seems very sturdy, considering how light it is. And with 4 segments per leg, it folds easily into the provided bag. Love it!

Perfecto
