Unit got nice and hot really quick. After 30 seconds I got a laser thermometer reading between 120 and 250 depending on where the dot was. Hotter towards the tip. Brushing through my hair was comfortable. Not to hot but hot enough to be effective. I have short, nearly straight hair but like it to be straighter. I was happy with results.

I had seen a similar product online and I was curious if this item would work, but it didn't work for my beard. It works fine for my hair, so I can use it for that I guess. Unfortunately it couldn't get hot enough to work with beard hair that is thicker and more coarse.

Neat product. It definitely takes going over the beard a few times before its straightened but overall you can see a difference for sure. Proves your beard is longer than it looks.
