Maybelline Full 'N Soft Waterproof Mascara, Very Black, 1 Count

I have been looking for an affordable amazing waterproof mascara that will withstand South Louisiana brutal heat and humid weather . I’m almost 50 with almost non existent lashes . This mascara is AMAZING ! It seriously is the best waterproof , non flaking , softest mascara I have ever used . It removes fast without harshness with soap and water . I mean the price is crazy . I added a picture to show a two coat application and how well it covers . Pure fluffy miracle mascara here .

I am an older lady, and this is the best mascara I have ever used. It keeps your lashes separated with a great brush head, and the waterproof aspect is a winner. I have tried many kinds of mascara that promise additional length or thicker lashes, and it is all hype. You wind up looking like you have really bad fake eyelashes on with thick spider legs instead of a thick soft natural look with this one. Top notch product!

This is, by far, my favorite mascara on the planet. I've been using it exclusively for most of my life (since about 14). It's thick, dark, and buildable, it doesn't clump or smudge, and goes on smoothly. But the best feature - it doesn't dry solid. Lashes still move and have a natural look and feel. It comes off effortlessly with a little castor/olive oil (1:1) mixture and bonus, the oils are excellent for lash health. I recently asked myself whether botox will be one of those beauty standards where future generations look back at us and wonder what the heck we were thinking. Mercury, arsenic, lead, Belladonna, and even radioactive compounds have all been used throughout time in the name of "beauty". We look back at those standards now and gasp at the thought of using lead on our faces or ingesting arsenic for skin clarity. But, how is injecting toxins into our bodies to slow/stop nerve signals any different? I've never actually had injections of any kind, though I've contemplated it. Always after my contemplation, however, this question remains. That then lead me to a deeper, more day to day question - what's in my makeup? So I started to research each product and pay attention to ingredients. I don't wear a lot of makeup so there weren't many products to search, but this mascara was the main one. It's also the product that brought up the most interesting results. Apparently there is a lawsuit against major cosmetic brands for using PFAs (forever chemicals - Google them) in their products without disclosing them on the ingredients list. While this particular formula was not mentioned, the lawsuit targets mostly "waterproof" products. This formula does contain mineral oil and a couple other things that aren't the best for us, so it does make you question further whether there are suspicious ingredients that they failed to "mention". Now, this review is not calling out this specific formula or company in particular. PFAs are everywhere, and found in almost everything including but definitely not limited to nonstick pots/pans (Teflon), and microwave popcorn bags. It's in so many areas across our environment, it's really quite shocking when you start breaking it down. This was just a catalyst to a deeper overall thought process about my makeup. At any rate - I'll keep this one on subscription (just maybe not as often) and continue to use it for special events or when I need the staying power, but I'm switching to a non waterproof cleaner formula for daily use. It might be a drop in the bucket comparatively, but drops do add up. My hope is that companies start doing more research into the chemicals they're using, and maybe find healthier solutions for long term use. Remember, lead was widely used across industries for millennia, including the beauty industry. We now know better. And just because these products and ingredients aren't regulated at the highest federal level doesn't mean they can't be self regulated. Do better for yourselves, your customers, and your companies, not because the federal government says so. Beauty shouldn't be painful anymore.

I was looking for a mascara that looks natural but still looks like it does something (instead of making my lashes look wet for two minutes, which is what many other 'natural-looking' mascaras have done). I also didn't want anything that clumped or made me look like I got punched in the eye after a few hours of wear. This does most of what I wanted it to do very well. It doesn't clump, it's easy to apply, and looks natural, while still adding a little bit of volume and helping to hold a curl. Is it perfect? Nope. I'm sure this product won't have what a lot of people are looking for in a mascara, but it does what I want it to. From my experience, this isn't waterproof. I've had some black smudges under my eyes after a long day of walking around, or at the height of summer. The smudges are easy to wipe off, but they happen. This also makes it easy to remove though, and I don't feel like I'm pulling out half my lashes when I remove my makeup. I've tried a couple of high end mascaras that worked better than this, but they both dried up (or at least changed in consistency enough to bother me) before I could get through most of the tubes, so I decided looking for a drugstore alternative that I wouldn't feel bad tossing after a couple of months would be more cost effective and sanitary. I'd recommend this to someone looking for a natural-looking mascara, but doesn't plan on wearing it to a marathon or a footie game.

This is a great product. I love that this didn't give me eye irritation or headaches. My eyes are extra sensititive and I usually get eye makeup that is hypoallergenic. Now, I dont know that this is not hypoallergenic, but I can attest to not having any allergic reaction. Just beautiful, long lashes that feel light

Felt sticky, even when dry… had to use another mascara brush to separate. Wouldn’t buy again

I love this mascara! It's waterproof and doesn't get clumpy. It's easier to take off than other brands. I've tried many high priced mascaras but I always go back to this one!

I LOVE this mascara. I've been using it for forever. We're avid boaters and I love to swim and I have never had an issue with it running off or smudging. It leaves my lashes feeling soft, but really accentuates the length. I have very blonde, pretty much transparent eyelashes, and this mascara works with that so that they don't look fake or overdone. Loyal customer for me.

It was not as expected to be. I really do not understand the hype . It was rather dry and slightly difficult to apply. The worse part was that when I tried to remove it, I lost some of my good lashes.
