Quiet but not cool enough for my CPU
This was to replace a noisy stock cooler for a hot FX6350. Came with thermal paste and worth noting that it's a 3 pin connector. It was easy enough to fit.The unit was much quieter than the previous fan, which was the point in buying it, but it simply didn't cool anywhere near as well.If you look at the images, CPU contact is with the small base on the heat sink. No additional copper heat extrusion plate to fully cover the CPU. Although I was confident that I'd applied the thermal paste correctly, when the CPU was taxed (games etc), the temperate slowly crept up and the PC would shut down.I've immediately ordered something else.My old FX6350 has always boiled a bit, and my view is that if you intend to tax a hot CPU, this cooler isn't likely to be right for you. Probably fine for basic use like browsing and email.

Very good budget cooler so far
Bought this as a replacement for my girlfriends A10-7800 after the stock AMD cooler packed up.Installation was a tad fiddly using the fixment brackets on the motherboard. It was very tight and needed some encouragement, but went on in the end.Operation was surprising quiet even throughout some light gaming as the CPU temps stay pretty low.The fan header on the motherboard is PWM 4-pin however this 3-pin fan fits and works nonetheless, without the far left pin, as a DC controlled fan.Generally, if you're running an older chip and using/building a desktop as a basic workstation or for very light gaming, this is a very good budget £10 cooler. If you're building or replacing a cooler in something a bit beefier used for more CPU intensive tasks ie gaming or CAD work I'd advise you to look for something a little more substantial.

About as quiet as the stock amd but with more airflow.
Will fit a mini itx board fine and dandy. with some room still spare to budge. This is not what i'd class as low profile though. The stock AMD cooler is a good 1cm lower than this.Doesn't say on packaging but it is rated for fm2+ cpus as spec'd by their website.

A good investment for a tenner
I bought this to replace the ageing cooler supplied with my computer. This component is more efficient and has lowered the CPU temperature significantly. A good investment for a tenner.

Does the job!
Simple to install and does the job - though temps can be a little high when under load. Cant complain for the price I paid though! All-in-all, a great cooler!
