I loved that it was easy to look up subjects. It is divided into subjects and find things quite fast.

This book is a fun read, but it truly is just the "basics". I was really hoping for a more in depth book on keeping backyard chickens. So I am back on the hunt.The pictures are nice, the plans for a coop are nice, and the commentary is hilarious. The author seems like a hoot! I just need more!

This has been my favorite chicken resource to date. We are new to raising chickens and this book has helped me quite a bit. It is organized well, with content that is useful and easy to follow. Love that it included coop plans that were basic with detailed info.

I’m trying to decide if I want to have chickens. I live in MN in the city with a smaller yard. I found the writing to be as though a friend was giving me the down low on having chickens. lol. Very easy to read.I feel the book is informative and is helping me along my journey of deciding and the research I am doing.

Easy, fun book to read. I do feel that this book (alongside an amazon prime video series (Becky's)) has prepared me well for keeping chickens, with good advice of everything required to raise chicks and chickens well. I am sure that I will keep coming back to this book as a reference support throughout my chicken adventures.I knocked one star off, as this is really written for a American audience. It refers to US shops and products, so you will need to figure out the UK (or other) equivalents. Nevertheless recommended read if you like me are new to the world of chicken keeping. So keen to get my little chicks now!

Easy to read and understand. Very informative.

Very ‘American’ and not many practical chicken keeping tips. It doesn’t actually cover food, how to prep a coop etc but it does have some interesting points to consider pre-purchase. This book is best for those considering buying chickens before they do it.
