Koller Products Tom Aquarium Stellar Air Pump for 40-Gallon to 55-Gallon Aquariums (TM1050)

This is my second Tom Stellar pump. My first one operated perfectly for about a year, and then a cat knocked it off the shelf and into the container pond a few feet away (still not sure how). The pump continued to gamely try to work underwater, for at least a few hours before I discovered it. I decided I couldn't trust it anymore even when it did dry out (not the pumps's fault! It's not designed to be submerged!), and so ordered a replacement, which arrived very quickly. I switched all the tubing over from the backup pump I had been using, and away we went. Very impressed, once again, with how quiet this pump is. The backup was a lower powered Aquatop, which was audible outside the room. You have to get pretty close to the setup before you even realize this pump is on. I have it simultaneously running two medium sponge filters, an air stone, and a brine shrimp hatchery, with no issues. Very impressed, and glad I kept with this brand. I will be ordering more, when the need arises.

Wow!! This is one very quiet little pump! Has two outputs that provide plenty of air bubbles coming out of a 4-5 inch bubble wand stone thing that I set on either side of my 30 gallon tank. Gives great circulation to the tank and the wands sit at a depth of 2.5 feet at the most. Exactly what I needed and for a slamming price compared to retail prices. Hope it lasts, but even if not I’d gladly buy another to replace it for that price!

This little air pump has been a very pleasant surprise; the smallest, quietest, and probably the most powerful one I have had. I am using it as the sole air supplier to a moderately stocked 55 gallon tank and it has been running silently and reliably for months. I have kept the bulky and noisy name-brand pump it replaced as a backup but I hope never to have to use it again.

A solid little unit; puts out more bubbles than our prior unit with about 1/2 the noise. Amazon's choice for a reason.

I have this pump on my 20 gallon long aquarium for the 2 under gravel filters. It absolutely pumps the air with no problem whatsoever. Very strong. It is noisy though. It does seem more like white noise but if you are looking for a whisper quiet pump then this wouldn't be the one.The cord is long and it was a piece of cake to set up. The one I received is all black. It is not like the picture so if you're expecting what's in the picture, I have to assume you will also get a black one. (I prefer black so I was fine with it)I recommend this pump for strength.

This sounded like a great pump based on other reviews but I've ordered it twice and both times I get what looks like a cell phone charger. I'm hoping Koller sees this review and urges Amazon to fix this mistake.

It got fairly loud around month 10, and today I’ve found one of the port is close to dying (not even able to power a sponge filter)

It puts out a decent volume of air. Very quiet, no vibrations.
