Really Impressed!
Great quality product! No issues. You’ll definitely want to thin it down with quite a bit of terpenoid. I applied it with a foam brush but wouldn’t be opposed to trying their squeegee. Someone else mentioned the label was on upside down… well… it is… because if you read the directions you’re supposed to store it upside down. A great move by the company to get stores to display their product the way they intended!

Don’t need to test it to know it’s good
it’s the best and safest oil ground out there so it gets 5 stars just for showing up to my house. the rublev one has lead in it so i don’t buy it (it’s also more expensive). lead isn’t that bad but i don’t risk it. for nontoxic oil painting at a cheaper price, this is the way to go

It provides a better surface for oil painting than commercial provided priming.

One coat, can't use acrylics over oils, extremely opaque and very liquid.
IF you buy a ground for oil painting, I'm going to assume you are going to oil paint on it. Well, what are you going to paint over it with if you wish to reuse the canvas, Acrylic Gesso? THINK! So, that's one reason you want an alkyd-based gesso. Second, why would you choose to paint in oils IF the ground is going to soak up the oil and deaden the pigments like acrylics? So, that's two reasons you want an alkyd-based gesso. Everyone's talking about Michael Harding ACRYLIC-based "non-absorbent" gesso but, did you know it's acrylic-based?I've never seen anything cover like this product does. AND...huge "and". The flow is so loose, there were no brush marks! None, zero! So, I get a plate-smooth finish and no, I don't want to sand. Thus, with this product, I am ready to paint in 24 hours. It really is super liquid, even more so than liquitex basic acrylics but, it doesn't run. I don't know how it doesn't run but, it didn't and I got full coverage in one coat.

Dented can
First can came dented in several spots, had it exchanged, second can came super dented. Product works fine.

Nice paste.
I needed really white and this paste delivered. Because of the oil used, dry time is in 2 week range per thick coat so expect to take a long time to apply the 2-4 coats.

I needed the ground to cover parts of an old canvas. The ground performed beautifully. Two thin coats and the magic was done. Easy cleanup with terp.
