This book is essential to any aspiring herbalist poor anyone interested in botany and plant medicine. It has many different herbs, their main constituents, what way they're best prepared (tincture, decoction, herbal oil, etc.). It is more of a reference or textbook material than it is a full book read, however the beginning starts with lots of 'reading material'.

An abundant amount of useful information.Good searchable, well written, many, many indications mot mentioned in other herbals!So any practitioner can try them out, especially for conditions that are not well described in other places and don't have an established effect already in the herbal community. A very useful combination with 300 herbs from Matthew Alfs., where a Kindle edition would be very welcome as well, even if this book is easier searchable as a hard copy

I've just begun familiarizing myself with this book. So far, I appreciate the descriptions of how to make the different kinds of preparations and which parts of the plant to use. The disease states are well described with recommendations for remedies. There is a lot of material here for reference. I'm happy to add this to my digital herbal remedy book collection.Remember, if you buy a Kindle version, you have a small window of time to return a book. Be sure to use that window if you have any reservations about keeping a kindle version. You can easily return it and if you change your mind, it just takes a second to buy it again. Cheers!

It’s a very good herbal book to use for reference and when you need to learn about which herbs to use.

I was looking forward to receiving this book.Unfortunately it is badly let down by the proofreading/editing team. It is riddled with typos, spelling mistakes and poorly constructed sentences.If I had started reading this before the return window closed, I would have sent this back.Hopefully the author will nag the publishers into doing a better job with the next edition, though as this is supposed to be a "revised and expanded" edition, perhaps the fault lies with the author.

I've just started reading this book but have already flicked thru the list of herbs. It seems like this book may give me the confidence to actually do herbal things!!! I hope so...

It has everything I'll ever need to know, brilliant!!
