TELEFUNKENTF29 Large-diaphragm Tube Condenser Microphone

The diaphragm was not attached to the body from the factory. The two screws were not in the body so it was never properly assembled. Yet it got through testing and assembly checks. Still waiting on the replacement.

An engineer at the studio I work for recommended this mic as being the best mic for raspy rock vocals. I sing in the realm of Alice In Chains mixed with Godsmack and this mic sounds better than a Neumann U87 which I thought was my favorite microphone until finding the Copperhead! This mic is perfect vocals like rock all the way to country. The low end is pronounced perfectly since it’s a cardioid mic. The mids are very clear and the highs are warm but not overdone. If you do any loud scream type of vocals, this mic handles them better than any condenser mic can. They don’t sound harsh or distorted. This is my favorite mic for my voice.

Love it! Just upgraded from Audio Technica 4050 and it sounds better and not so thin! I am a female singer who has a more warmth to my voice and wanted a mic that will capture that! Great mic, the only reason I gave it a 4 is because I’ve only recorded 1 song so far and haven’t tested it in other parameters. It also doesn’t pick up too much of the noises in my not the best acoustic treatment! But compared to my previous definitely an upgrade! Definitely in love!And it’s a really beautiful mic might I add!

This is a very over rated product. It is uneven sounding with a bloated low end and has unnatural upper mid and high frequencies. It is low quality and there are numerous microphones in the $600 and up range that sound better. I can’t recommend it since it is so over priced. You can do much better!

Amazing sound quality, top to bottom frequency. Sounds so natural, and true to real life transparency of MANY mics I've used!! Smooth performer, with great bottom end if you wish to engage in proximity effect technique too! 5 plus stars for my picky ear!!
