Great for Small Mold Spots and Preventative Cleaning
I picked up the Concrobium Mold Control Mold Inhibitor (Pack of 2) to tackle some small patches of microbial growth around my property, and it worked really well for what I needed. I wasnโt facing a major mold problem, just a few areas that needed cleaning and treatment, and this product handled those spots without any issues. It applies easily and feels safe to use, and I appreciated that it didnโt leave behind a harsh chemical smell. After treatment, the areas looked noticeably better, and the surfaces stayed cleaner compared to spots I hadnโt treated yet. For light contamination and preventative upkeep, it performed exactly the way I hoped. Of course, this isnโt a miracle fix for serious mold problems. If youโre dealing with anything behind walls, in ventilation, or anything widespread, youโll absolutely want a professional to handle it. This product is best suited for surface-level cleanup and maintenance โ not full remediation. Overall, Concrobium Mold Control did exactly what I needed: it cleaned up the small patches I found and gave me confidence that Iโd addressed those areas properly. If youโre looking for something safe and effective for minor mold or microbial growth, itโs a solid option.

So glad I found this!
I had a musty smell coming from a closet that had had a leak. I wanted to kill the mold on the floor and walls but I didn't want to kill myself in the process with a toxic product. Even chlorine bleach is toxic in the environment, despite its being commonly found in most homes. Based on other reviews, I decided to try this and I am very happy that I did. The closet it now clear of the musty smell and I used it in the shower stall next. Mind you, this will not give the immediate gratification that bleach would. It does NOT bleach out the mold stain and it does not claim to. It is killing the spores, which is the most important part. Remove the stain using another method, which may involve a 10% bleach solution in water. (I know. The frustration of it all.) Check other sources, such as Pinterest, for ideas. Do not be disappointed that this product does not do it. This allows it to be used on surfaces that would be harmed by bleach, such as, fabrics, furniture, carpeting, car interiors. In fact, I ordered some for my sister who has a car that got wet inside and now is musty. I am confident that this product, along with copious amounts of fresh air, will solve the problem. Everyone has mold somewhere in their environment. Try this. You will, no doubt, be happy you did. I am. Can you make it cheaper, as suggested by another reviewer? It is not worth it for me to try that. This is cheap enough. Mold is a challenging environmental problem that has a huge impact on human health - more than people realize. I am just happy that there is a product like Concrobium that allows me to control it in a non-toxic way.

Highly recommend
Bought the stuff after watching some videos online on how to clean your AC unit. The stuff really seems to work quite well. Long-term will have to see if it keeps the mold at bay - it claims to deter the return of mold at least for a time Iโm going to try spraying some in my evaporator core and into the fan area in the fall in the spring see if that keeps things under control for more than a few years. If it really does keep mold at bay for an extended amount of time then five stars - time will tell though. Highly recommend

It works if you do your part
The stuff isn't magic but it does it's job if you follow the instructions and use common sense. I cleaned my apartment window first and then sprayed this stuff on the mold spots. It killed the mold and then I cleaned the window again and sprayed a little bit of this stuff again. I haven't seen mold come back since. I also used this to kill mold inside of a car that had water leak inside it and it worked. I sprayed the mold in the car and waited a minute then wiped it off and sprayed again to prevent future mold. I haven't seen any mold come back yet.

It isn't really clear that the formulation has any special chemical
Coming from the nutritional supplement world, I've learned to trust the ingredient label (in this case MSDS sheet) more than the marketing. When I received this product I found odd that it stated "Sodium Carbonate: 0.95%, Other ingredients 99.05%" on the front of the bottle. With the 99.05% accounting almost in its totality for the water, that leaves very little active ingredient. And to make matters worse, Sodium Carbonate is just 'Washing Soda', a cheap household chemical. I didn't really get where the special "mold crushing" ingredient was. After I checked the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for more info, it only listed "Sodium Carbonate: <1%, Trisodium Phosphate (TSP): 1-5% (by weight)". Both are cheap household chemicals a large section of people already have. Washing soda is used for laundry, and TSP is a general purpose household detergent and degreaser. If that's all this product is composed of, it isn't special at all. With a box of each (under 20$), you could make hundreds of gallons of the same liquid. I even poured Concrobium Mold Control liquid out of the bottle and it's pretty much crystal clear and odorless, so it certainly isn't evident that it's saturated with some special mold-annihilating substance. In the end I decided to just make my own using a 16oz empty spray bottle, around 500 grams of distilled water, some 5 grams of baking soda, and some 20 grams of TSP. The resulting liquid looks pretty much identical. Out of curiosity (and because I had the tool at hand), I checked the specific gravity of each liquid with a refractometer. Both the 'Concrobium Mold Control' and the DIY mix had very similar specific gravity, and barely above that of distilled water. In other words you're pretty much buying water with this product. Personally, I think I won't ever buy this product again and I'll just use more heavy duty chemicals if the issue is needed or just mix my own for light cleaning.

It works great
This is my go-to spray for musty drawers and closet corners. Pull out all the bureau drawers, spray them thoroughly and let dry completely. You will have no more odor.

Might as well spray water
I have mold growing in my room walls because it was too humid and the cold on the walls made it worse. I got this despite the negative reviews and hoped things had changed since then but not at all. As others have said, this product is clear and scentless. I sprayed it on my walls which are made of plaster and waited. At first there was no change. After 5 mins, still absolutely no change so I sprayed more. Then I waited the suggested 30mins-1 hour. After all that time the walls looked exactly the same so I figured maybe scrubbing it would break up and get rid of the mold. I scrubbed with both a soft sponge and a bristle brush and that did something but not much. The mold stains were still there. I'm pretty sure I would have gotten the same exact results if I had just sprayed the walls with plain water and then tried to scrub it off. Nevertheless, I kept scrubbing until most of the mold was gone though the stains were still there. At this point it I was over 4 hours into this clean up and was tired so I just figured that was the best I could achieve with this product. I sprayed bleach on the stains which of course instantly got rid of the stains. After letting that dry out completely for a few hours, I went back in with this product and sprayed the walls since it claimed to prevent the growth of mold. Well I can say with certainty that it absolutely did no such thing. It's been about a month since I did that cleaning and have made sure to be careful to not let the room get too humid. But there were a couple of nights when temperature went down to the single digits so I did not leave the window open to keep the warmth in. Well now the mold is starting to regrow. So in conclusion, I used practically the entire bottle just to spray a 1ft high by 5ft long area of wall and it did absolutely nothing. Didn't get rid of the mold and certainly did not prevent it from growing. I'm ordering cleaning vinegar and hopefully that works better than this because at this point I'm pretty sure this product is just 99.9% water. Do not waste your money.

An extremely effective product - wipes out mold fast!
I've used this product multiple times and it completely wiped out the mold with one application every time. We received rain so fast (on two occasions) that the window well in our basement exercise room filled with water, rose above the window height, and created a "nice" waterfall down the interior wall. There is a sump pump 4 feet away, but of course the slope of the floor had to run away from it. I peeled back the carpet, cleaned everything up, let it dry, and sprayed this (and part of a refill bottle) on the floor, pad, and carpet. I let it dry and put it back together and it was as good as new. (I also added a drain pipe to the window well and redid the surface so water now runs away from it. Two floods were enough!) It worked so well on the above and other situations that I send some to our relatives in Colorado who had a pipe leak while they were away. They came back to a huge mold infection. They applied Concrobium Mold Control to the areas appropriately and **poof** no more mold. I simply can't say enough good things about this product. It simply works as advertised and is death to mold. If you have a mold problem, I would give this the highest recommendation possible! Don't forget to buy the big refill bottles too! You can save literally hundreds of dollars in mitigating the mold yourself instead of needing to hire a professional team in many circumstances.
