Won't break like the plastic one
I hear from our mechanic that the plastic water pump used on the VW versions of this engine always breaks in the same location and blows out the seal. I upgraded our VW to the Audi aluminum one to prevent this common failure. So far we are 6 months without the seal failure. Installation was a major pain in the butt trying to get the belt installed and the bolts aligned and the seal no molested... Very happy with the product. Not so happy with VW/Audi design engineers.

Good so far, I’m thinking it’s going to be way better then having a plastic water pump.

This product will set u back from a speedy repair. Make u have to source the circlip.
Th is product is a low grade it carries a clip that supose to use to hold the switch in place it is made of a very low grade fiber which broke easily which leaves u to go and find a metal circlip to hold the switch in place. Am so so so disappointed with this buy.please dont make the same mistake.
