I was so excited to get these lights to hang next to my pool. Received them yesterday. When I received them we took them out of the box and plugged them in to make sure they worked, I have had an issue with lights not working before, so I a bit gun shy. The lights came on and we tested the different colors, great. We hung the lights on our cord ( time consuming to get them distanced right). We used the remote to turn them on. Nothing. We got the second remote. Nothing. We tried the button on the unit. Nothing. We changed the power outlet. Nothing. So I paid $70 for light that don’t work. We took the lights down, plugged them in. Nothing! I am returning these and going back to my $ 20 rope lights that actually work. I would like to add a revision to my review. Although the first strand were not acceptable, I did contact the seller regarding the problem. They were quick to respond and stressed that customer satisfaction was their top priority and that all products are tested before they leave the facility. They sent me out another strand of lights and after testing them before we hung them and they after they work perfectly. I was quite impressed with the response of the sellers to my concerns and the speed in which they were addressed. I have increased my star rating as I think we received a bad strand in the beginning but the sellers wanted to make sure that we were satisfied.

We received our replacement string of lights and after testing it out, it worked perfectly. However, when we plugged it into our existing two strings it began flickering and a few of the lights would not work. After testing the entire three strings together I discovered that the third string operated properly when I lowered the brightness to its lowest setting. When I increased the brightness to its highest setting, the third string began to flicker and some lights went out. After consulting with an electrician friend, I realized that the built in transformer is not capable of supporting the wattage of three strings linked together on the highest brightness setting.We will keep the three strings we purchased and just keep them on the lowest brightness setting. We just purchased these three sets a couple of weeks ago and we are still having problems with the bulbs burning out (especially on the white light setting).We have only two replacement bulbs left and no way of purchasing any additional replacement bulbs.Your advertising on Amazon stated that up to seven strings of these lights could be linked together for a total of 840 watts. In truth, only two strings can be linked together and still function properly on the highest brightness setting (nowhere near 840 watts). Without being able to purchase replacement bulbs, we will have to dispose of these three strings as the lights burn out.

I had my Costco lights up but really wanted color lights for mood and effect. I found the quality of these lights to be as good or better than Costco.After about a week of daily use, I am finding out a PROBLEM. The lights will change colors and start going through one of the many patterns all by themselves. Lets say I would like to enjoy a nice dim red patio for the evening. After about 10-15 minutes, the lights start rotating different colors, as if I pushed the button designed to make them do this.Also, Lights take about 5 seconds to turn on from switch. If you want responsive lights, you have to leave them on an active line and turn them on/off with the controller that comes with them.Pros: 2 remotes and extra bulb, Can be connected with another identical string. That soft white is REALLY ELEGANT.Cons: Not very much light output, very low wattage. Lights dim in 5 increments but you can't tell much of the difference, it is so slight that if you didn't see them blink you would not notice. 16 bulbs over 48 feet mean the bulbs are very few and far between.Item comes in a very small box making one wonder if you got the wrong package.I really want to love these lights, they are the highest quality, but there are some sacrifices to be made.

We installed these lights in our backyard because we wanted some subtle light over the pool area (stole the idea from our neighbors). These lights work perfectly. We ordered these, tested them and ordered more. They are not the brightest lights as they are LED, but for us, it's the perfect amount of light. We do have other landscape lighting and the pool lights too if we need more light, but as you'll see in the attached photo, without the pool lights on, it gives a nice glow in our yard. If you are considering these lights, they are perfect if you want soft glowing light for your backyard or patio area.Frankly, I am surprised by the reviews that give bad reviews as we have five strings and have had

Overall I really like these lights and would have given them 5 stars except for 2 issues which make it hard to justify the cost.1-when you run them on sometimes they turn on to the last setting you use but other times they turn on the the “jump” setting where they jump from color. I wish they would just turn on the to the single color I last used.2-one of the sockets/bulbs doesn’t appear to work on the blue colors, when blue is on that bulb isn’t on, when I use the purple setting that bulb is red.

After owning our original light set for almost a year, we had issues with them staying in one mode and then they eventually stopped working. We contacted the seller who was responsive via email. They shipped us a replacement set once they were in stock. Throughout the process they kept us up to date with order status and shipping confirmations. We did have a controller issue with the replacement order, but a second set was sent immediately. We have had no issues with that set. I would confidently buy form this seller in the future as they have provided the utmost in customer care and shown great integrity when it comes to backing their products and warranty.
