Purchased a second battery, after a couple of months.It installs well, and works fine. Very helpful.I charge one while using the other.Not inexpensive, but worth it.Update - after a couple of years:This replacement battery has a somewhat smaller capacity (~187Wh vs ~230Wh).Both batteries have screw(s) coming loose "bug". Used foil tape to retain screws.Both batteries have lost a substantial amount of Range. They could be better?!They MIGHT be possible to repair? Though, I would definitely buy them again.If I had the right soldering tools, and Lithium battery experience, I might try?They're good for nearby trips. Neither battery ever went 10 or more miles.

I bought a Swagtron bike and it came with a bad battery. Swagt told me I’d have to return the bike to get a new battery. These bikes are heavy and I am a 60 year old 5’2” woman and not able to pack up and return so I broke down and bought a replacement battery from Swagtron. The first time I plugged it into my charger it smoked HOT and burnt up my charger. Swagtron will replace the battery but now I’m out a charger and still can’t ride my bike. Not happy with Swagtron and would not recommend.

works as expected, not too heavy either in a backpack. you can plug the dc charger directly to a battery pack as well, versus the bike chasis. no complaints.

Extends the range of electric availability to 35 to 40 miles.I added a utility rack to my ebike and keep the spare battery, air pump, lock and other extras in a small backpack secured to the rack. The rack doesn't hinder folding the bike for transport or storage.
