Creator 31015 Emerald Express

Lego has made yet another amazing Creator 3 in 1 set. My 7 year old son always starts with one of the 3 "creations" and moves on to the other 2 when he feels ready to disassemble the first and build something new. It is nice because it is really 3 toys in one. (It also occupies and entertains him 3 times as long!) With the Emerald Express you can create the actual train engine, a carriage train car, or a rocket train car. He loved all three, so we will most likely purchase 2 more sets so that he can have the engine and both cars to display together. The detail and color is exceptional on this particular Creator. Although there are very some very small pieces, the suggested age range seems accurate. As usual, the instruction booklet was well laid out and easy for him to follow. Thanks again, Lego!

My kids love the Lego line of block toys and this is no exception. This LEGO Creator Emerald Express is a good small addition for kids who like to play with trains. The fit and finish is classic Lego...very good to excellent. Overall, a very good toy train but tiny...just so you know. For size comparison, I am including a picture of a golf ball next to the Lego Emerald Express for your reference. Thanks for reading my review.

Was a gift for my 4 year old grandson. His older brother helped him put it together. He loves it. I purchased several different Lego items for his birthday. They really are small boxes so if you're looking for somethiing imprressive, this is probably not it. I think it lists the age group as 6 so I asked his older brother to help him with it. I didn't see any for age 4. Once they put it together, he was able to take it apart and reassemble by himself.

It's a cute little lego set I'll be honest. I got it for a friend's birthday cause he likes trains and he seems to like it. Didn't realize that it was gonna be that small and only have enough legos to build one part of the train, tho thats probably my fault for not looking at the description enough. On top of all of that, the box was dented pretty bad. Save yourself some time, money, and disappointment and get a knockoff lego set if you really want to make a lego train

Purchased this for my four year old son because he seemed ready to graduate from mega blox to something more challenging. This has been a great teaching tool--he is a very impatient kid, and often gets discouraged when he doesn't get something 'right' the first time. After sitting down and showing him how the instruction booklet works and putting each of the three machines together a couple of times, he started building on his own. The instructions are all pictorial, but really demand attention, and the pieces are small and tricky to put together. Once assembled, each iteration is very nice-all the wheels roll, etc. I am thrilled that this inexpensive toy paid so many unexpected dividends--patience, following directions, taking things step by step, and of course, the best part of Legos--improvising:) One note: the pieces are very small, and once some components are put together they are tough to get apart--even for an adult.

Great little Lego kits for the child or child-at-heart that loves Legos. To really enjoy the Train kit, you should purchase 2-3 of them, so you can build the cars to pull behind the engine. These basic creator sets are perfect for starting a collection or keeping a child busy for hours of building or play without overwhelming them with 1000-piece model-sets. Prices here are on par with Walmart/Target, but the selection is larger :)

I didn't realize how small these were when I bought 4 of these Lego boxes on Amazon; they are the smallest Lego boxes I've ever seen. They are nice -- but I wanted to give them as gifts so had to give two (2) Lego boxes + something else at a 6yrold's birthday party this past weekend as the boxes are that tiny.

This Lego creator Emerald Train is a great toy for my son! It's a combination of both his loves, Legos and Trains! This has been out of stock everywhere I've looked in physical stores so of course I turned to amazon. It's a very easy for my almost 5 year old to our together and the fun part is that you can make multiple items! The only thing is, he only wants it to be the train. I should have purchased extras so he could put them together (all three options). Which I might just do.

Great looking little train, and it's even better than you can use the alternate instructions to create cars to go with the engine. I had to buy a few so I could set it up on my desk. It looks great.

Nice little set for kids that like trains

I love this lego train. My 5 year old grandson was able to build it by himself and enjoyed the fact that there were three things you could build out of this kit. I am very pleased with my purchase.

My 6 year old grandson loves these, has a whole collection of them, I like to buy them as a small treat for him when he comes for a visit.

This makes a fun little stocking stuffer, though (like most Lego products) it's quite small for the prices.
