Best paddle ever! First let me open with the fact that I won a tournament with this paddle. Out of 500 people. This paddle goes great with a person who plays fast and relies on spin. It rewards in victory!! I got this for Christmas a year ago. It has barely worn. This version is better than all other butterfly version. The rubber is superb and the accuracy is absolutely AMAZING!! My friends get pretty frustrated when they play me. The speed is not too fast but still fast enough to get people to run. Every time I was this paddle it acts like brand new!! Spin is the best!! My dad got a custom made paddle and now wants my version. You can’t beat the price! Like ever!!

This is the first paddle costing more than about $10 that I've ever bought. Many of my coworkers who I play with like Butterfly paddles, so I figured I would go for one of these. The well-made soft carrying case that comes with it is a nice bonus for me. It's a very nice paddle. Significantly heavier than a cheap lightweight one, which I find helps me control it. The rubber is very sticky and soft, which gives me an amazing amount of spin and control. In particular, I am able to return smashes and execute loopy top-spin shots far better than I have ever been able to before. However, this paddle also deadens the ball in terms of speed. I really have to smash it hard to get much speed out of the ball. For me this is a good thing, since I have a lot of trouble with control with harder paddles, but some players might not like it. Overall, I'm very happy with this paddle, but as I said I don't have a lot of experience to make good comparisons with other products. I think just about any beginner or intermediate player would be very happy with it.

I have several Butterfly rackets (Senshu, Carlos Chiu, Kodo, Kioshi, Naifu) so I have used a decent variety of paddle to comnpare the 401 Yuki to. I was actually looding to buy the Kenji to add to my collection, but I came across this paddle and decided to chyeck it out as it was $12 cheaper than the Kenji. Of the paddles I own, the Senshu is my favorite and it was not cheap at arounf $70. When I found this racket I was skeptical of it because of the cheap price ($35), but I decided to take a chance and order it and worst case I can use it a practice racket so I don't ding up my Senshu too bad. The racket came in a day earlier than expected and I was pleasantly surprised. The racket uses Butterfly Yuki rubber onboth sides. My Senshu racket uses Flextra rubber and the Yuki rubber on this racket feels as sticky, though not quite a powerful as the flextra. The tape on the side of the racket is a very nicenylon ribbon material and it gives the racket a classy look. In play, the racket is ver well balanced with great spin and control, making this an ideal racket for the intermediate player. It also has 2.1 mm rubber which gives it a little extra "oomph" on slams. Overall, I am very hapy with this racket, while not as fast as my Senshu, it is half the price of that racket and has 9/10's the performance.

This paddle is fantastic. About me: I'm a pretty serious player (ITTF ranked). I'm primarily a looper and blocker, but I have a pretty well-rounded game. I have a couple of pro-grade blades that I play with - a Timo Boll ALL+ with Yasaka Mark V rubber, and a Black Widow OFF+ with Bluefire M1 rubber. I got this paddle to play around with at work (Yeah, ping pong at work... Internet company... lucky me!). I also wanted to try to slow my game down a little and add some control, and see how that works for me. What I've found is that the speed of this is perfect for me. It's a little slower than the Timo Boll. I'd rate this an ALL- or DEF+. And despite the $30 price tag, it's a really well-built paddle. It's a 5-ply, has a large sweet-spot, and really consistent power throughout the blade. The rubber is sticky, and although the "gluey" feeling it has out of the package wears off, the rubber maintains a nice surface for months. The power is more than sufficient for a looping game, and will deliver a decently speedy block as well. But this paddle also allows a good amount of control and spin to allow consistent pushing with good control (can't do that with the Black Widow!) Cons.... I'm not crazy about the handle. It's a little too rounded out for me, and makes it slightly more difficult to know what angle you're holding your paddle at. I prefer blockier handles. The size and flare are fine... just the cross-section is a problem for me. It's also pinkish in color... not a big deal for me, but if that may bug you, consider it. The case has some hilarious poorly-translated text on it. Also no big deal, but may get you laughed at. =) No other real cons. Cheers!

i would call myself a competative player, and this is an excellent paddle. the rubber is very tacky which is good for generating spin. the sponge on the bottom isnt yellow like most paddles you might buy in stores; the rubber is white. the rubber is pretty thick which is good for smashing the ball and defending when someone smashes it on you. this paddle is a little heavier than most butterfly paddles ive played with. what makes this paddle very durable is the glue used to connect the rubber and the sponge. it isnt some cheap glue. ive hit the table a couple of times and rubbed by fingers on the edges and the rubber is still very much attached to the sponge. it will also give you style points as it has ribbon on the sides and a metal, gold colored, butterfly plate on the bottom. this is an excellent paddle and is a great buy if you are trying to develop your skills. plus the carrying case comes in handy.

this paddle looks and feels great. I have not played with it yet, and I plan to update this once I do. but it comes with a nice case and the rubber is super sticky. over all I am very happy and looking forward to playing with it. Edit: After playing with it I am leaving my five star review, it is a little faster than I anticipated and I have been having trouble adjusting. but the spin is pretty great and the paddle feels good in my hand. I am pretty sure my trouble adjusting is player error rather than a fault in the paddle. over all I am very happy with my paddle. Edit 2: ok so I still have this paddle. I mostly play in the break room at work so it only gets 30-45 min of play time per day but its still the best paddle in the room. I would give it 10 stars if they let me, simply because it is still in great playing condition over 1 year latter. Edit 3: It has been over 2 years, and I LOVE this paddle. its held up great, probably will buy same one if its still available whenever this finally breaks apart.

I love this paddle! It generates good spin, has amazing speed, and fairly decent control (once you get the hang of it)- especially for a pre-assembled racket. This paddle is perfect for beginner players with decently developed technique. Cons: it is kind of heavy compared to Killerspin Jet 200 and similar paddles. Also, if you don't have decent control before playing with this paddle, you will definitely need to work on that. It doesn't take a lot of effort for this paddle to launch the ball - which is great for speed, but rough on accuracy if you're not used to it. Pros: beautiful paddle, lots of speed and spin, very durable, comes with free carrying case, and amazingly low price for such a high quality product! Can't go wrong with this paddle.

So just for preface of the review I used this paddle every day for an hour a day during lunch. We have a Joola and Butterfly table at work. I have paddles much better than this but this is what I keep in the office. I’ve been using it for 6 months now and I have some kind words and only a few negative ones. So for starters the paddle is great on defense. The foam is minimal so blocking for intermediate players is extremely forgiving. The rubber was really solid for the first 3 months and progressively has worn down. But this is after almost 100 hours of use. Now with around 200 Hours on this paddle the rubber still has some bite to it as long as you clean it after every 15 hours or so. The paddle is light but not as light as a carbon (To be expected at this price point). As far as return energy that’s the only place this paddle lacks. With a 7/10 stickiness on the rubber, light paddle, and thin foam the spike and high speed returns require a bit more energy on them. Serves are a dream with lighter paddles so this paddle is great for that as well. If you’ve been trying to decide between this and any other paddle at the 30-40 price point don’t question yourself. This paddle is a solid option!

Ideal para "principiantes", esta raqueta me la recomendó mi coach de tenis de mesa, yo tenía originalmente una raqueta Stiga que costó como $700, pero no tenía un hule profesional, funcionaba bien, pero ya que estoy jugando más seguido y entrenando, era ideal cambiar de raqueta o de hules. Con esta raqueta se le puede meter más efecto de spin o de chop a las pelotas, tienen un nivel intermedio para su uso los hules, o sea no es tan rápida como otras, y es un nivel medio para meter efectos, por eso es ideal para gente que se empiece a meter más en el tenis de mesa, o que jueguen casualmente pero quieran una mejor raqueta. El único detalle es que tiene el mango un poquito corto, pero se acomoda bien, tal vez si tienen una mano muy grande no sea ideal, pero yo mido 1.85m y se me acomoda bien, si miden más, quizás sea mejor buscar otra opción con el mango más largo.

I only recently came across Butterfly, but it's a reputable brand in the Ping Pong world. I saw this racket for a reasonable price, and decided to give it a shot (no pun intended). Right away when opening the product, you see the brand new racket, and a carrying case as well - awesome! Not many rackets come with their case, so this was an added bonus. So I tried used the racket, and right away you'll notice the stickyness of the Yuki rubber - something that helps a lot for spin. I'm still learning proper technique and smashes, and I found this is the PERFECT racket. Even more advanced players that I play with that tried this racket are impressed with it - and approve of it. Value for money here is top notch - I know there are higher end models from Butterfly, but I think for the average player, this is a worthwhile investment!

As expected..met the expectations.. particularly good for an intermediate player, has a very excellent control..
