No distortion through prescription glasses like foggles and Compact.
These clip-ons work just like foggles. I have to wear glasses when I fly. The extra plastic in the see-through portion of foggles make it hard for me to focus through my glasses and the foggles. I have to take my glasses off to put the ASA Overcasters clip-ons on my glasses and adjust them, but they come off easy when I'm ready to go visual just before Decision Height or MDA at the end of an instrument approach. I can see below the "fogged" portion without any difficulty when scanning the instruments and reading the approach plate. And, they're not cumbersome like a hood. They stow in my flight bag very neatly.

Great training aid for glasses people
This product works great for those who wear glasses and are doing any simulated instrument training with foggles. They work well with my aviator sunglasses as well as my regular eyeglasses. I do not wear sporty sunglasses like Oakleys, so I cannot provide any insight on compatibility with those type of sunglasses. My only issue is how flimsy they feel, they are made from a very light and pliable plastic. They definitely feel like they would either break of kink if bent the wrong way. However, they are extremely light. If I forget to take them off and they are flipped up, the only time I realize I still have them attached to my glasses is when I bump into something. Overall this product has made practicing approaches much more productive. Instead of having my instructor take over the controls at the MDA so I can take off the foggles and put my glasses back on, I literally just flip them up when he says "you broke out of the clouds".

This hood works like a charm!
Those large bulky uncomfortable grey plastic hoods on a hot summer day is the last thing you need during an IFR lesson. This view limiting device easily clips on to my prescription sun glasses and switching between IFR and visual positions is a breeze. I am very pleased wearing this feather weight and comfortable device during my "under the hood" IFR training. That said, there are two issues with this product. First, it does not come with a case. At this price-point it should. Even a 50 cent case is better than no case at all given that its size is just a tad bit too large to fit into any spectacles/sun glasses case you might have. Second, it is way too flimsy. I have to handle it like a sparrow's egg for fear of breaking it.

Great view limiter for folks with glasses
Compact easy to use simple view limiting device for people like myself who wear glasses when flying. Easy to flip up out of the way, no issues with durability so far getting shoved in and out of my flight bag despite the somewhat flimsy appearance. No real issues whatsoever.

Convenient
A little fragile but they do the job as intended and make it a breeze to "go visual" with just a quick flip up when needed. My instructor thinks they're great.

It is the best solution available, but still needs a lot of improvement.
Several times now, I have purchased the ASA Overcasters View Limiting Device for my flight training and ongoing IFR currency. It is the best solution on the market that I am aware of, but could use some improvements: Cons: 1) The rubber pads that attach to your glasses slide off way too easily. Once you lose these little pads, you would be putting a metal clamp on your (likely expensive prescription) glasses. 2) If you put these on the glareshield (dashboard) of your airplane on a hot day, the thin vinyl or plastic material will deform and warp. Pros: The device attaches easily to my glasses and provides a realistic view-limiting experience, simulating the visibility restrictions in a way useful for training. A particular benefit is that they will flip-up easily so you can look without the need to take the whole thing off your head, remove your heasdsets, or do any cockpit gymnastics like other solutions require. Overall, I have mixed feelings: I keep buying new ones them because they frequently are getting ruined by the pads falling off or warm-day deformation. Nonetheless, they are still better than other solutions. The next time I buy a set, and it pains me to buy yet another pair, I will glue the pads in place and keep them away from sunlight.

Great for glass wearers
I had to buy these for my Multi-Engine Commercial IFR checkride. Since my medical mandates I wear glasses, I was searching for a good view limiting device. These work perfect for both prescription and non-script glasses wearers. They clip on and fold down into place in minutes. No need to fumble for foggles or a hood. You may look a bit silly during taxi and take off, but who cares?

Will ruin glasses if plastic shod on clip comes off....
The rubber tip on the clips comes off easy. Without, they will scratch your $$$ glasses without doubt. Great idea but not well constructed. No replacement for the rubber tips on clip either.
