Very engaging fun using real music tracks from Psy, Nicki Minaj and others.
The fun - Bop It BEATS is very engaging and fun because it is using real music tracks from PSY, Nicki Minaj and others. You foot will be tapping the floor with the happy dance beats..This is amazing engineering for only around $20. Then move up to the Grand daddy: "Bob It XT" to challenge the genius in your family and friends.

It's okay.
It's just okay. My kid got bored with it after about ten minutes. Probably would have been more fun if there were some variety in the song loops. Hit boring really fast.

Fun twist on the Bop It game series
I got this on a Lightning Deal and I was a bit wary to order it because I couldn't find any info on it or any reviews anywhere. It was worth the buy though! At first when I opened it and played it on classic mode, I thought, "this is cool in how different it is and yet kind of lame." It just seemed too easy. Yet as the game progressed the commands became a little harder and a little faster and I found it catching me. Then I tried DJ mode. Much harder to remember the commands. Even harder on lights only mode! I discovered that I like it just about as much as the typical Bop It games. To give you a summary, the commands are Bop It (hit the black button that sticks out of the side), Spin It (spin the turntable clockwise), Scratch It (swipe the turntable in one direction and then in the opposite direction), Reverse It (spin the turntable counterclockwise), and Flip It (flip the turntable over completely). The game will also give the command to Repeat It (repeat the last action that you did). The top of the game (turntable A) is the black side and the side that you will keep facing up 90% of the time. The bottom of the game (turntable B) also has a turntable that is silver in color. You will use this side for the same commands after performing the Flip It action, and it is also used to select level difficulty before starting some games. Classic Mode is where the game issues one command at a time for you to follow. Classic Party Mode is the same as classic but where it will add Pass It to pass to other players. DJ Mode is where the game calls out a few commands in order. You have to wait to hear all commands before you start doing them. This mode is more like the Simon games. DJ Party Mode is like DJ Mode with Pass It included. There is also Remix Mode where you can just play around with the game in freestyle without playing the game itself. Now, the negatives... The game plays the songs Pound the Alarm and Levels, as well as two other songs. You will get sick of hearing Pound the Alarm (because it always seems to start on this song). The song definitely fits the game, but come on, it's repetitive! This game would be tons better if it alternated between multiple songs when starting a new game, or if they even gave the option to pick a song! Also, it's wishful thinking, but this game would be great with a headphone jack. I'm now only allowed to play this game if my husband is in the other room or not at home (he's annoyed by it already). Overall, it's worth a try and a buy. A nice twist on the Bop It game series.

Kids enjoy it
Grandkids love it, makes noise. I do not see the attraction, but I didn't buy it for me! Kids are 6 and 8, who are playing with it. It is being used as a single player game, but it can be used in a multi-player mode. It is interactive, and a musical toy.

just as fun as I remember the original bop-it game being
bought as a gag gift for my "dj/rave party" loving friend, ended up being VERY entertaining. just as fun as I remember the original bop-it game being, with a different set-up obviously, and with dance songs included. for the price, wish there were more songs! came with batteries, which is a plus.

An Experienced Bop It Player!
I am a collector of games including electronic games and I'm from the UK and I have enjoyed playing Bop It ever since I played the original and I never get tired of it. In Bop It Beats, you have 5 commands: Bop It, Scratch It, Spin It and Reverse. Sometimes the voice will say "Repeat:" and you'll have to repeat the last command that you just done. The reason why they called it Bop It Beats as instead of using Hasbro's own background music, it now uses pop music! Some songs include Pound the Alarm and Levels and the music that's used in the Bop It Smash advert. There are five modes: Classic, Classic Party, DJ, DJ Party and Remix. Classic is just like how Bop It was before, following one command and DJ is where you follow multiple commands in a sequence. The highest score I achieved on Classic is 250 but there is a guy on YouTube called SonicNoah who scored 262. On DJ, I scored 136. There are three levels, Rookie, Expert and Lights Only. I scored 136 on DJ on Rookie and you score extra points if you complete the sequence in time. Overall I would recommend this Bop It to any Bop It fan who enjoys collecting them.

I would definitely recommend for a special needs classroom or to a visually ...
I purchased this for my 16 yr old son who is blind/autistic. He absolutely loves other bop it games so I was trying to find a game to challenge him. . It is very tactile and requires the player to engage in repeated movements (spin it, scratch it, flip it, bop it) to play the game. The biggest difference in this bop it came is the constant music playing while the game is being played.Although he wasn't extremely interested in this specific Bop it game, he does play the game on occasion. I would definitely recommend for a special needs classroom or to a visually impaired child.
