I'd buy more
I went four stars for wiring guage. I installed these on a custom license plate bracket that I made (I do recommend some blue thread lock). I've hade then on for a few months and that have been through some wet weather and still function fine and have no rust on them. They are bright enough to light up the license plate (as you can see in the picture, that is in a parking garage at about 2 in the afternoon) and I like the color temperature of the leds. They were easy to install and had plenty of wire to (I had to trim it) to reach to my splice location. As someone else said, plan on using some sort of wire connector or quick disconnect for them because if you splice them straight in, you will not be able to remove your license plate with out cutting the wires. I only have two issues, one of which was my fault. 1) the wiring guage is pretty small. A heavier guage would have been preferred. 2) the way I installed then the wire that comes out of the threaded extension was rubbing in the fender frame causing the thin guage wire coating to get cut/worn exposing the wire. Again this is not the sellers fault by my installation. My remedy was to fill the end of the thread hole with some liquid electrical tape and zip tie some rubber bushings behind the license plate bracket to keep it from rubbing.

Worked as expected. Made my rig legal.
Did the trick but not supper impressed. Iโve got an old truck and the plate light is long gone. Why mess around trying to find the bracket, bulb and repair the wire? Slam these little lights in place of the plate screws and your done! Well be sure to wire them as well. Lol They are not super bright and thatโs good. They do sit very close to the plate so itโs light from directly above or below and not towards the plate. So itโs not a great illumination of the plate. Does it work? Yes! Did it make me legal? Yes! Downsides? Not really. Fair price and easy install for an old pickup with no light.

Very nice blue LED lights.
These are LED lights casting a pleasant blue light. I used them on my 48 vdc golf cart. At night it was very difficult to put the cart key into the key slot, there being no light on the dash. Now there are 3. One near the key hole, one on the right side of the dash lighting up the two USB receptacles and the third one inside the main glove box. The housing of the LED light is gloss black. They have two wires, red and black. The wires are very light guage, almost like hairs, and a bit hard to strip and fasten. I had to redo some of the connections to get the thin wires to make the connections. They are connected to the headlight switch so that the blue LEDs come on when the headlights come on. I'm quite happy with these little lights and how they have improved our nighttime operation of the golf cart.

Cheap, easy, looks great!
When the previous owner of my truck tried to install a trailer light wiring harness, they cut the license plate lights at the bulb socket... 90% of my driving is on the interstate and defective license plate lights are a big deal to some state patrol officers. It would have cost me $30+ shipping to replace both sockets. I think I paid less then $10 for these, they're way brighter than factory, Installed in less the an half hour, and have a nice clean look! Make sure when you install them you hook up the wires to the right poles LEDs only allow current to flow one way

definitely work
these wires are hair thing. be careful stripping them. my wire stripper didnt go small enough and I had to use a knife. cant be more thicker than 24guage on the shielding. the actual strands are even thinner. I wont be surprised if they die. wired these up with barrel connectors as a couple of other reviewers suggested for easier removal in the future. I'm using these on a motorcycle, fwiw. They are plenty bright though, cant be pulling more than 2 watts (I'm using a two watt fuse in a fuse block so they only turn on when the bike is on) and they survived a couple of hours riding without issue. I'm giving it five stars because they do work, the wire is super thin but then the load is super low so why over engineer it? barrel connectors: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GPL8MVG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GPQZ4EE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They're bright... and they work...
I was really surprised with these things.... both good and bad. First off, for the money, you can't go terribly wrong. The shipping was super quick.... I got them in no time. Obviously, a very easy item to install. If you're unfamiliar with how it works, you connect the wires to the wires that were previously going to the stock license plate light(s). The lights are really bright. I'm actually really impressed. I positioned both slightly inward and the plate shines! I wasn't impressed with the black plastic housings of the light, however. It seems to be the type of plastic that could potentially crack if overtorqued while screwing or possibly break while you're bumping around doing maintaince on your bike. The fit and finish of the housings don't inspire confidence, however the performance of the little lights and the great price definitely outweigh that flaw. If I was the manufacturer, I would switch plastics... maybe something with a matte finish. We will see how these things hold up over time when exposed to the elements.

Needs modification
I already have these that I bought years ago. The hardware including thr threads are not rust proof. Mine is rusted solid. I bought this replacement and replaced the hardware with galvanized washers and wing nuts. There's nothing I can do about the threads. The wire is too thin and should be a thicker guage. Also its very cheap and delicate. I lost about 5 inches in length repeatedly trying to strip the ends. Use good quality strippers and be careful. I then used the small quick connect male/female type connectors and sealed those with shrink tubing. The lights themselves are good. Just everything else is low quality. I think with the changes I made, thdy should be oksy now.
